Most cemeteries can accommodate these burial options. Go see YOUR local cemetery for more information. #gardensandgraveyards #garden #burialoptions #casket #cremation #mausoleum #burial #cemetery #cemeteries #scatteringgarden
A CASKET is a four-sided box with a domed lid. A COFFIN is a six-sided box with typically a flat lid (think Dracula). Coffins are very rarely used in the USA.
According to the catholic faith, you can be cremated but your ashes must be buried or put in a catholic cemetary also!! I did not know this until recently . My wife and i were looking into cremation and found this out! We were going to have our ashes scattered at certain places but are thinking differently now that we found this out. Just thought i would mention this if others didnt know this! Correct me if im wrong, but people in the catholic church told us this!!
@mike you might ask your priest/parish if they would agree to consecrate wherever you want to be scattered. In our cemetery a local priest will come pray and sprinkle holy water on the ground where a Catholic is laid to rest.
Yes this 60 acre cemetery is ran by 2 people and some volunteers. It is all they can do to keep the lawn mowed. Each gravesite is owned by the family and they are welcome to come and do more detail cleaning.
Does your cenetery do double depth burials? I only know of one cemetery locally that has them. Saves space, but I have to wonder if the vault at the bottom can handle that weight and keep its structural integrity long term.
I want to be buried in a pink Hello Kitty steel casket! I m scared to be cremated or lying in a wood casket who rotting away! I know I m dead then but I m scared to feel pain by the flames or lying in the dark and get filthy and get critters crawling on my body!!!🙃😖
I want to donate my body to science. Then take my body to a body farm. I do not want to buried , burned , or drowned. I am claustrophobic. And there is the native American way. Lay my body on a tall tower. Skyclad .
I have to apologize, but the pronunciation bothers me. The word niche, where the urns are placed is pronounced like “neesh”. Again, I apologize, I don’t know why I’m so bothered by that. The cemetery and grounds are lovely.
