Just found your videos. I’ve been garment sewing for about two years. Before watching your video, I used a whole labor intensive process involving carbon paper, a tracing wheel and a lot of pins to deal with darts. Now I mark and sew beautiful darts in just minutes No more avoiding patterns with darts! Thank you for this tutorial it has helped to elevate my skills as a self taught, home sewer.

Slightly off topic: tldr-- Beginner sewist(?) who will definitely wear safety glasses. Hi, I'm a recent subscriber to your channel. Love your videos! I am whatever skill level that is below "beginner". I haven't even received my sewing machine yet, but I've just been watching a ton of tutorials and informational videos. I was reading the online manual to the machine I purchased, and noticed that it said to wear safety glasses. I was really confused about this, so I asked my friend who sews all the time & she informed me of the risks, but that she nor anyone she knows sews with safety glasses. So I was tempted to just not worry about them, despite the OSHA agent in my head screaming at me. Then I came across your videos & showed her that at least one other person wears safety glasses while sewing and that was all the confirmation I needed to purchase my own pair. 🤣 Thank you for the time and effort you put into producing these videos!!

Hahaha, it is slightly a joke to wear safety glasses. Although I have a tailoring friend that would wear these 70's aviator glasses religiously when ever he would be sewing. And I have to admit, I rarely wear safety glasses while sewing (although I know I should bc of the risks of needle breaks). Thank you so much for subscribing, nice to know you enjoying the content!

Faren I love your tips! I'm finally switching to industrial. I learned on a juki and they use them at work too. What model number would you recommend? I got my eyes peeled for a used one but no luck yet. 👋🧵👌🏼
@LTRLTrendFashnGuru
@LTRLTrendFashnGuru 4 года назад
Thanks for watching! Juki is the best in the industry, so good choice. I agree, buying used is definitely beneficial (both of my industrial machines were bought used and I havent had any problems). I don't have any suggestions for model numbers bc I tend to go with the best used machine that fits my needs - making sure it is good condition and all parts are included. So keep those eyes peeled! Good luck

hello thank you very much for the request as seen but not mentioned your juki sewing machine has a upgraded servo motor not the typical clutch motor which is much better and offers some speed control something you might want to point out thanks
@LTRLTrendFashnGuru

Thanks Frank! I actually had no idea about this sevo clutch... I do know that there is a speed control dial near the on button. If you have any other specific question, I would be happy to answer.
