I'm willing to headcanon (if it isn't canon already) that the Foundation only says they kill the D-Class at the end of every month. they actually just give the ones that survive amnestics and put them back in as D-Class alongside any other new D-class that come in. The Foundation is Cold, not cruel.

@@zabianreubens4989 Angels also snap necks, but well put that aside since SCP-173 existed since 2007 june 22, before the second appearance of weeping angels. That doesnt really make it different, its just a different way of killing(sorta), but if we pay attantion to that, while SCP-173 just snaps you neck, the Weeping angels have a much more interesting abilities. Also, if you can name atleast one "weeping angel" before weeping angels, please do, id gladly get educated if I am wrong. Besides, its obvious SCP-173 exsists because of the Weeping angels, Doctor who episode "Blink" is the first appearance of Weeping angels in Doctor Who, the episode released on june 9th 2007, while the SCP-173 post was made on june 22nd 2007 as i said before, it was made just days later after the debut of weeping angels.

Okay first the statue was the first SCP to ever be written. Why they have to clean that gunk out of it's cell is because it is corrosive and will eat through the cell and release it. There's a great story about the Creator mysteriously showing up and allowing the statue to forget the rules. And then starts duplicating itself goes on a killing spree. And to take one of them down requires a mid-level nuclear weapon

Fun fact there was one single time in which 173 did not snap some ones neck and actually let him live, he asked it to kill him it was during a mass out break and it cornered the D-class he know what it did and just dropped to his knees and begged it to kill him so his death would be quick and then blinked and 173 just left

Scp 173 seems to have a quantum entanglement power, when it is observed it remains in constant wavelength collapse, which is what happens when atomic particles are observed. When it is not observed it is essentially “free” from it’s quantum entanglement, surpassing space time in order to kill what once observed it, which is why it kills who observes it This is why it’s so powerful because it surpasses the boundaries of normal space time in order to kill

I prefer more "covert" SCPs over world-sized ones like SCP-3700 Tides of War. When they are too big to be hidden and have world-wide consequences that every regular people can witness, it kinda defeats the idea that SCP is a secret organization. Just a personal preference of mine.

Scp doesn’t have a canon, so basically every thing in the universe of scp is its own story. Some times a scp is just pure evil, and sometimes it has a reason to do what it does. The 173 story you saw is one of many, each scp has many stories from them. Matter of fact someone can make their own of course getting permission from the person who made the original scp first.

Huh. Pretty close to something I'm working on for a TTRPG thing. It's my attempt at Lovecraftian horror that fit my setting, which replaces space with dirt. (Picture the universe as microsoft paint and someone clicked on space with the bucket when it was filled with earth.) So my thing is giant worms that wouldn't even notice if they tunneled through one of the hollow worlds. As they get closer, weird stuff starts happening due to vibrations, and if they get close enough lava starts seeping through the surface. There's a way players can prevent the side effects, but no escape from the knowledge that if the worm tunneled on just a slightly different course there'd be absolutely nothing you could do.

I fucking LOVE 2662! It's such an uno reverse on the Cthuhlu mythos and it made me actually love Cthulhu even more! Nux, you should ABSOLUTELY check out SCP-4666 "The Yule man", SCP-5031 "Just another murder monster", and SCP 2845 "The Deer god" and more specifically the horrific ritual the foundation needs to do just to keep it contained.
