i feel like there should be a system similar to underdog that makes you lose less trophies if you have an afk random player on your team. Its so annoying when you lose because you team mate goes afk at the most crucial parts of the match.

I think that it should consider total trophy and maybe level too. For example a 600-700 trophy brawler but 7k in total doesnt sound that great.

That would be heavily exploited. You would need to figure out how to prevent people from intentionally disconnecting in order to lose less trophies.

@merioplays You lose less, you can see it on the screen where there's the Play Again button. I won a game by being an underdog and got +4 trophies bonus, but it shows up only on the "play again" screen.

@I'm done even if you're not talking about the ones that disconnect it would be exploited. What happens in a team match where one purposefully disconnects so their teammates will have less to lose if it's a guaranteed loss. What'll happen in a random match is it'll become almost an unwritten law to disconnect if you're losing.

Guys Jacky's Gadget is Unfair. It's so Fast I literally won the PSGCup 9-0 with Poco(De Capo) and Jacky. I just boosted all the way through while getting healed and 60% of the time the game was over in 20 seconds. And she herself is kinda OP right now but overall I loved the update

I wish the cup gave a skin that wasn’t completely useless to OG players, because star shelly is way cooler and rarer. Also, the Dumpling Darryl revamp feels really lazy to me, they didn’t even change the hands or legs to match the new model, only the eye

Half the time, underdog feels like supercell is just saying “instead of having a fair chance of winning and if you lose ‘X’ number of trophies, now you have no chance of winning and will lose ‘X-3’ number of trophies. I’ve had about 10 underdog games, and it doesn’t feel compensated at 800 trophies that’s for sure.

I’m a f2p who’s been playing since global release. I usually play a little under an hour per day and nearly all my brawlers have enough power points to be upgraded from level 7 to level 9, I’m just missing the gold. That’s the most annoying part of this game, coins.

Feel you, and since the update I got once El Primo's gadget in the shop and I found only a star power (honeycomb, btw) in all the boxes I've opened. No Jacky, no other gadgets. Almost F2P, spent only a few euros for a couple of skin I liked a lot.

"Man, I wonder if Kairos uploaded yet? He's one of the earliest updates." Ok, I LOVED this update and you practically got my thoughts on Gadgets spot-on. When I first heard of Gadgets coming- I immediately thought of you, because you kept wanting an extra mechanic for complexity and for more depth: gadgets fill that in COMPLETELY. A level 7 brawler essentially has two abilities- some niche, some strong, but you can't deny they exist. Also, Power 7 is a nice way for Supercell to do this, just like you said. I'm f2p and have only been playing for about four months- most of my brawlers are power 5-6, but can easily be leveled up to lvl7. So right now, I'm just selecting which ones I want to level up, for their particular gadget in shop or from boxes. It's so much easier to get to lvl7 than it is to lvl9, and because of this- you will NATURALLY get more Gadgets than Starpowers, because it's just more available. For the PSG Cup, I really hope that for future challenges similar to this- they make the reward skin DIFFERENT from the purchasable skin in the shop. I want to flex that yes, I did get all 9-or-so wins and yes, I AM using a special gold PSG champion Shelly skin.

Really great video! You nailed it on the head when it comes to gadgets. I’m in the exact same boat as you and have only had 1 offer in shop since they dropped as well. Over 100k in coins.. totally maxed other then gadgets.. yet I can’t spend my coins still. I even broke down and bought 6 mega boxes! And not a single gadget.. just doesn’t seem right

I'm in you position....I have every brawler maxed with star power ...minus Jackys which I have been waited for to show in shop since her release yet nothing and 2 day in a row now no Gadgets in my shop either its slightly aggravating considering I have 40k gold I'm not going to waste boxes that I can use for the next new brawler. Nice Video! I got offered three gadgets in tge shop today. Don't know if I'm lucky or that more players got offered more. Anyway, happy to spent my excess gold coins. I think underdog system is just a lame excuse to not work on matchfixing and hope it's a temporary solution. But untill then its better to lose 4 in stead of seven trophies when matched up with randos.

I've been getting gadgets in the shop pretty consistently like one every couple of days, even today I have two in the shop now. Still, I have no plan on buying any because: 1. I don't have the gold for it at the moment. 2. I'd rather not spend 1000 gold on something I can unbox later when I could upgrade a brawler instead.

I agree, because they really try to squeeze cash from players with "offers" and strategic marketing; but he's saying something different here. If you buy an offer for a legendary chest in Clash Royal you know you're getting a legendary card, maybe not the one you're looking for, but you know the exact percentage to find that, in this case, buying boxes is not as safe, because you could end up with nothing at all; having the chance of a 0% return is just gambling and that isn't safe nor excusable on Supercell to me, because it may affect people's health. Their "unlock system" already is borderline with all these updates if you ask me.

Kairos!! I’ve been following your page ever since I started spending too much time on this game! I’ve just gotten all my brawlers to level 20 (I actually capped each at 549) so that trophies wouldn’t be deducted. I figured once ready I could begin pushing the brawlers to the next levels. But now working with the season lengths (that I never used to pay attention to), I’m realizing it’s way more work than I thought. Just getting about 7 brawlers to 600 trophies took the whole season. And those were my fav brawlers that I’d like to say I do pretty well with!! My question to you is if you have a video that talks about pushing further into the game. The pros/cons, how much time, and how you do effectively if you aren’t say a RU-vid gamer, but still play about 20-40 rounds a day. I’ve enjoyed the game getting harder and harder as I’ve gone on, but to be honest I might be capped out at level 20 because I’d hate to push a brawler to say level 30, just for them to be kicked back down to 525 trophies after a few seasons of not playing with them while I push other brawlers! HELP! (I also support your name in the content creator boost everytime! Thanks for everything!)

I'd want to add a few small details referring player experience 1. Sometimes it's very annoying that the emojis in lobby stay there no matter what, just adding a button to hide last emoji wouldn't be hard to add, and would be nice to have 2. Please make it possible again for star powers to be selected with a double click, instead of now having to press "Select" 3. Ok this is a big one, please make matchmaking more fair... I know it depends on trophies and rank but it's too common to have a star power-less team vs a 3 star power one. I mean it makes sense that your total trophies on one brawler accounts more than power since it depends on skill but, 3 star powers vs none is not fair either. And I'm sure everyone has faced this situation once in the last months. Just make power level important for the matchmaking too please Oh and thank you Supercell so much for introducing the "typing" and "choosing brawler" banners again, we really needed that

The fact that I still have shelly on lvl 7 because I haven't had enough gold to max her out for about 6-7 months since I had all her power points, means that supercell should implement a way of getting more gold. I don't particularly play shelly but still the fact that I can't freely spend 1250 gold for a brawler ( I have to prioritize certain brawlers) it's crazy. I'm at 19.2k trophies with 33/34. (I just unlocked max and Jacky when this update dropped), I have everything maxed (but not all upgraded) because of the lack of gold. I started playing on global release and spent 20€ for offers. #Y89G8JO is my game tag.

5:13 i just need gadgets and star powers, and 3 legendary but, in the store, there are always gadgets, idk why with you there aren’t gadgets, but when I wanted EMZ star power, It didn’t appear so I depended gold at one gadget and a star power, then the next day, EMZ star power appeared :((( I had no money

underdog mechanic is such a good thing in brawl stars. I've been the underdog for 3 times, or 2wins and 1lose. if you win, you will get 12 trophies instead of 8. and if you lose you will lose 2 trophies instead of 5 trophies.

If you need info on the underdog feature, I’ve been an underdog twice since the update. It seems to be about a 50% trophy adjustment (won a game: gained 8 trophies + 4 underdog bonus. Then lost a game with a lower trophy brawler: lost 5 trophies, but gained 3 back for the underdog bonus)

Ive had quite the opposite experience. Normally when i get a brawler to power 9 BOTH their star powers are in the shop to buy the next day and with gadgets ive only had one day where i DONT have a gadget in the shop

Kairos I love this update too, but gadgets are messing so much with my aiming!!! I really really need to move the button elsewhere, I keep pressing it accidentally and it's placed exactly where I aim!! I'm not sure that supercell thinks this is a problem, but it is affecting my gameplay negatively!! :(

In Jacky's stats her offense is rated a 2/5 when Bibi's is 3/5. They do basically the same damage but Jacky has a faster fire rate. Her offense should arguably be a 4. Maybe supercell is hiding the fact that they made her too OP or it's a sign of her next nerf.

Thanks for the honesty. Also, i got super lucky with boxes. Today i played the ticket mode. I already had like 300 of them saved up sooo. I ended up getting spike and jacky. I'm only missing crow now.. best part is I'm free to play entirely.

I only don't agree with the sandy atack nerf ( the starpower one is ok, healing winds is also great) because he indirectly got nerf for getting such a bad Gadget. Also, some brawlers (Like EMZ, Shelly, Jacky and Frank) got Gadgets that literraly fix the biggest problem they had, removing big part of their counterplay, while other brawlers like Spike, Rico and Piper got Gadgets that are almost useless, and don't contribute to the brawler Kit in any way. Really hope that they rework those bad Gadgets, like they did with Gene's Spirit Slap

The biggest issue i have is the drop rates for star powers and gagdets still. Im f2p, but have 32/34 brawlers and all above power 7, with 14 at 9. Yet, i have less then 10 star powers, after 6 months of having multiple max brawlers, and 2 gadgets, even saving hundreds of boxes. The problem is not getting to the level, but more about actually finding these things

i’ve been playing brawl stars since december of 2018 and spent around $25 and my account is nearly maxed. i have every brawler besides Mr P and at least 1 star power on every brawler, so I think supercell should’ve made gadgets at level 11 bcuz i can already get all of them now instead of having to work for them

I've got 3 gadgets in the same day in the store. I think that's just rng. Also, I would love to be able to see if the enemies have disponible gadgets because it's really hard to win a 1v1 if the other player has their gadget and I don't. It's a really big advantage and in my opinion this breaks the game.

Love it as well but completely agree about the gadgets Ihave been playing for almost two years now, and maxed out my account a while ago and I have over 80,000 gold, and I was so excited to finally be able to spend it on something useful, but today was the first day I got a shop offer for gadgets. Like come on I wanna save my boxes for new brawlers coming out not for something I can buy easily in the shop

Been free to play since 2017, have every brawler lvl 9 except for max and mr p, who I don’t have. Getting brawlers your level nine only takes a month per brawler, and if you are doing all at once than it will be more like 2 months every 3 level nines. However, star power drop rates are way too low in my opinion. I have been grinding for them and it hasn’t paid off as much as I feel it should
