Damn.. I had a Conquest in 1992 when I graduated from high school.. I always loved that car.. Many days I wish I still had it.. Raced everything on the street and seen them all in the rearview mirror.. So hard to find now at 400% what I paid for it back then

Love the cars. I had a beautiful '86 Conquest (the widebody version like these) as a teenager and beat it to death. I regret the day I sold it to help me buy a heavily modded 98 Eclipse GSX back in '05ish. I was into drag racing and StarQuest parts availability is non-existent and way back then manufacturer A into manufacturer B motor swaps were not a thing yet since stand-alone ecu's were just coming out and were model specific so running a Toyota engine and Mitsubishi everything else was impossible. And nobody made any swap kits so everything would have needed to be custom made. It's so cool seeing these dudes do what I dreamed about. I'm definitely getting another one of these cars and putting something nasty underhood. Beautiful cars and cool owners. Good video all around.
