Your videos are so informative. I feel like I am in a series of personal seminars with you. Thank you for sharing....it is hard to find a mentor; I like to think of you in that way.

Hsin-Chuen, Thanks so much for showing the final product in the video. I realize that you have to wait until the pot is fired to finish the video and i appreciate the extra time and patient it takes. it makes all the difference when you do videos with glazing.

For brief moment, as the body glaze was pouring, I could imagine that pot being fluted and celadon and how amazing that would look. Great work. Very dramatic

Dear Hsinchuen Lin, thank you for sharing, absolutely fantastic. Your videos are a treat to watch. May I ask you what was the second glaze you applied? Also what clay do you use and the temperature you fired this piece at? You and your work are truly inspirational, please keep on uploading. Many thanks, Paul.

Thanks, I'm a mature potter, and now have started college for ceramics, I had to clean many glazed bottoms, from the students, I had forgotten about the water trick, I am going to insist they watch your demo, thank you

I noticed that you are using a plunger to mix the Shino. Staying with the plumbing tools, I have used a toilet brush with brissles. It seems to pull the thickened glaze from the sides and mixes it better than even a paint drill bit. Thanks for all your tips cuz they are awesome.

I love this effect! Very beautiful! One question, I noticed that your Shino and even the green/turquoise glaze, goes down to the bottom edge. Will that spread in the Kiln? I suppose I could put the wax on the bottom edge of the bottle.

What is it about the shino glaze that causes it to bubble if you put the shino over top another glaze?

Hi Mr. Lin: Is it better to fire a Shino glaze pot with reduction or oxidation? And does the result come out significantly different? Thanks!

how much does that large pot weigh? I would like to know so I can compare my own large piece throwing to see if i am in the ballpark.

hello hsin, could you please tell me, is the pot bisque fired or just dried out? please continue making these wonderful videos, I have learned so much. Elizabeth:)

He is glazing it at the bisque-fired stage (which is typical - few artists glaze greenware).

Why do you glaze the inside when nobody can see it
@hsinchuen
@hsinchuen 2 года назад
For water proof and for balance the inside and out tension when cooling.
