My father's mother lived to 108 years of age. She always told people that eating healthy and faith in Jesus will extend your life. She said that stress and worry is a killer.
@Kayla Nguyen First I'll find a doctor that doesn't smoke themselves which is ironically common. You've specified one person with a disease and I'll refer Jeanne Louise Calment, who quit smoking at 119....Just saying
@Kayla Nguyen I'm saying there is no formula for longevity that is proven. Most would agree stress and worry are not food, however Jesus, diet and smoking are debatable and proven not to be absolutes.
I’m very surprised she past a year after this video because she seemed so healthy. I guess you can go downhill fast at that age. Rest In Peace to Ruth! ❤️
@@KingJackson11355 You don't have to "go downhill" to die my dude. It's more likely that she knew how to deal with pain better than most and eventually passed away at an impressive 104, and in that shape too! I'm nothing short of amazed tbh
All possible. But very hard to stay healthy. 1. No worries no stress no empty bank account no family suffering no bad friends no bad food. 2. Yes to sport happiness good partner sex relationships happylife even alone ...love your home your kitchen. .empty your brain before sleeping with relax music. Secret of all must be your genes where you from. And forgiveness ....let it go.life is short.
@@TheHumbuckerboy all possible. Need to be stronger than devil. We all have negative and positive thinking inside us. If we eat healthy sport automatically we in with positive life.
Cover girl should hire her as a model. She is a good role model for the future generation. We are failing our youth because of the choices that are being made today.
Wow, I am blown away ! Her skin, her make up, her spirit, her energy. She look much better than many of us!!! I am now convinced that age is just a number. Someone once said that the body is a machine, if you stop working and using it, it dies.
Yes she is. I am 70 still running workout a lot very slim. My secret I don't have salt sugar bread butter cheese potatoes in my kitchen. I have fruits veg olive oil oatmeal spices nuts almond milk fish chicken bone broth for cooking lemon ginger turmeric that's it. Water water and wine the weekend. Mobile bike in bedroom and walking in Forrest 3 times a week. And good company.
Yes my parents are in the 80s and healthy great looking people. No one can believe their age. They eat pork drink wine still work and they just take one day at a time I believe food is not so serious but stress and depression anger when allowed to go on are a killer. A famous book written long ago by norman Vincent Peele speaks about this
My great grandmother lived for 102 years. She always kept herself active, used to have healthy food and kept a big smile. She got to witness my brother's wedding last year and she passed away naturally by the end of last year. I'm fortunate that my family is genetically gifted for living longer. My grandfather and grandmother are 95 & 89 respectively and alive and none of them have any medical condition.
Since she worked until she was 81, she had a good retirement check and research has shown that having financial security makes an elderly person have better food, access to gyms and other things. I remember Dr. Joyce Brothers, the famous therapist, who was told when she qualified to attend graduate school at Columbia U. in NYC, that she should go home and leave that slot for a man, who would need the profession to suppose his wife and children. I'm sure Ruth was told the same thing.
Ruth is ageless & so beautiful impressive lady sharing life experiences with others so sweet she is love her personality & drive to live her life doing the things that make her the happiest. Yes she's right we must have a purpose something to look forward to doing & she's living proof age is no barrier when you put your positive mind to it! God bless you Ruth your amazing wish you were my grandma you would be so fun 😊Great personal trainer he was great with her & he is a blessing to all he helps get up & moving. It's not a race we need some excercise even if it's just walking ! Great video lovely story❣
She is an Inspiration, looks so youthful. I believe that Exercise, Healthy Diet, Healthy mind, goals & purpose in life are the “Fountain Of Youth”! 👍🏽🌹
What an Insperation to EVERYONE! Here I am feeling down and depressed because of allergies and being swollen for a few weeks. After watching this makes me want to get out and be active.
Yes, totally having allergies and down about that. But seeing this happy woman makes me want to put on red lipstick and grab a workout. She has a kind of fabulous that makes you feel great!
Sage I know right? One of the things that makes me very sad in todays world is Older people get tossed aside and usually end up dying lonely. In other most Asian countries the elderly are looked up to with great respect for their wisdom and usually live with families when they can no longer take care of themselves or so they don’t get left alone. And yes it’s starting to change their like over here but they are still treated with much respect. And older person has been through it all and can teach us so much. I am not saying this because I am 57. Lol I am saying this because I witness it all the time. They are people with hearts and love and wisdom and have a story to tell.
Wow this lady is amazing, and she is sooo profound when she says You have to have something to look forward to" and honestly if you have no money you have No options, that's scary and stressful if that's your everyday life, it is mine.
Giving your life to Jesus Christ is the first step to live a happy and fulfiled life. God promised to deliver us from troubles of this word and to satisfy us with long life and to show us His salvation. PS 91:16
Totally agree- you have to have something to look forward to and socialize.also diet--plenty fruits and vegetables -less flour, salt, sugar, fatty snacks;try to eat main meal before 6pm;a little exercise and peace of mind.of course-- good genes. My father is 80 years - still drives, exercises, take vitamins , eats plenty fruits and vegis, goes out with his friends, church etc and has my loving mother as company, although they are always quarrelling with each other- lol.She does all the cooking ; ensures that he takes his medication;the housework;groceries etc.but she is 70 years and going strong also. He has diabetes and high blood pressure because he loves food and still never seriously watches his diet. He prefers to take medications for his condition and eat what he feels to eat. He monitors his vitals every day at least 3 times - so he will take medication to suit and make some adjustments to his diet until his vital readings go back to within acceptable range. Then back to eating his food as normal.but it must be noted that the amount of food that he now eats is a lot less than 5 years ago.and also he no longer eats heavy at nights. Well to each his own. He is happy ! He really looks forward to the casino where he meets other people , eats , drinks , can win a little money sometimes and really really enjoys it , when they call his name for a special prize. I am learning a lot from him as i am now in my 50s . However i am watching what i eat , so hopefully i would not get diabetes , high blood pressure etc.--- And its true about older women in the work place.older women are pushed aside and the younger women are given front positions and treated much better.they forget all that we older women have contributed to a company and can still contribute with our experience, skills , know how , qualifcations etc Most older women are physically able to keep up with their job.they should be given any relevant training and should be given a chance to prove herself before being pushed out or behind. All most companies want are the younger faces. I have seen the delight in the managers face at my company when they introduce a young female assistant and the slight disgust and shame when they introduce an older woman assistant.they want to hide us with the cabinets-lol. I am age proud! and will continue to be so. Wow-i got that off my chest.
How blessed you are with parents like this... I pray they live many more happy years . . . even decades 🙏🏼🌞. They sound like fun ... Workplace shenanigans are draining for older people sometimes. That's why it's important to do what you love --which also helps keep a person young. Personally, I try to keep young people around me cuz it keeps me up to date, as it were, lol. I find that, once they get used to be, lol, they come to me, like I'm their cool auntie ... And, they're quite protective of me 💕🌞
What an inspiration... yes , it's do-able, the ailments that afflict so many after the 50 or 60 yr mark don't have to be. I'm 67 and am still VERY spry.
God bless you Ms. Ruth! You are such an inspiration for all.that you have accomplished in your impressive lifetime. You had to fight many battles, I am sure to prove that you were capable (being a woman). M's. Ruth you should feel proud of yourself for being a crusader and conquerer of life. Sending you love, peace and gratitude.❤️
Woah she looks so fit, like the way she hugs the other person you can see grip strength. Most old people dont work put and usually turns to sticks by that age
