When to practice: whenever it fits your schedule and feels most supportive to you. Ultimately, it’s your call.
How often to practice: I usually recommend practicing some form of yoga at least three times/ week for my one-on-one clients, more often if it feels good to do so and it works for their schedule, less often if it doesn’t. Ultimately, it’s your call.

Please answer this one! - In PCOD/ PCOS, is it okay to workout in the evening? At times it does feel that it's not letting me sleep. But that's the only time I have. And does working out in the evening produce more cortisol?

Hi there. I will always encourage you to listen to the cues you're getting from your body. If working out later in the day is preventing you from sleeping (and sleep is just as important for your health as movement) is there a chance that doing so is not the right choice for you? Only you can decide that. Is there a way to get creative and move more in shorter chunks of time throughout the day instead of committing to longer workouts all at once? I don't know anything about what your schedule looks like but you can ask yourself these types of questions to create something that works for you: - Can I walk for 5-10 minutes after meals? - Can I take walking meetings at work? - Can I walk to errands? - Can I do a 5-10 minute yoga practice in the morning or at my lunch break? - Can I take the stairs more? - How can I move more throughout the day? I have no clue if it produces more cortisol (many of the claims made online and on social media about cortisol are a bit overhyped and leave people unnecessarily anxious.) Rather than asking that, I'm going to encourage you to ask yourself if working out at night leaves you feeling your best and allows you to rest well. You can listen to your body to decide what is best for you.

Hi there. I can’t provide personalized advice or clear you for movement as I’m not your personal healthcare provider. If you’re unsure if you can do certain types of movement/ exercise because of a medical condition, your medical provider is the person to ask. I have endometriosis specific yoga videos on the channel that you might want to explore as well.
