#11 is a great option, you can even buy a unlocked phone online prior to departing to the Philippines and obtain a SIM upon arrival at the airport. But #1 & #3 seem contradictory when #2 is taken into account. Depending on where you depart, its possible to fly direct into Cebu International. So if you are only using Manila to transit to other islands, both Cebu & Manila airports have flights available with nearly the same flight time and ticket costs.

flying to manila first does not just save time, it also saves 100s, i have not been to the PH yet but i have looked and planned like flying to cebu can cost like 1000 and take 30 hours, but, if you go to manila first, then cebu, 600 and 25 hours or less ;) as for hotels, nook in the PH and get taxi, again, saves times and 100s

U.s American citizens we can get a 90 day visa online and so many people are still waisting time in the Philippines going through long immigration line to get there passports stamped🤔🤣.I just don’t understand I mean honestly not me I’m getting my visa online and when I get to the Philippines I will just show the immigration officer my visa from online and that’s all.

Just want to add. Visa extension is online and easy. And if you have T-Mobile you Do NOT need a SIM card. It works fine and speeds are decent even in the province.

I can't say there are none but I have not seen any direct flight to the Philippines. You have either one or two stops and will take two days to get there. You have to figure time difference but I can leave the Philippines and get back home the same day.

I think the most useful advice on this list is the grab because it will save you a lot of money monthly for transportation.The money you save for transportation you can use it for enjoyment and other activities.

non stop flights from eu rare even BA refuel stop. manila is the worst place to enter phil cebu much easier for saving time.

Manila is literally the worst airport to fly through and the worst place to stay. If you want to enjoy yourself, Cebu is a better place to go. If you want touristy stuff, Cebu is a great start up point as well to get to many of the great resorts and beaches.

Most of the advice is nonsense. Just use common sense and you will be fine.

Better and Safer yet... Don't go to the Philippines
