In this yoga video we do the 12 yoga postures Dr. Loren Fishman included in his study showing increased bone density in the participants. Note: This Is NOT appropriate for folks with advanced osteoporosis. There are several twists that should be done gently as I demonstrate, or not at all. These postures are recommended in addition to weight training and walking, hiking and heel bouncing as part of your plan to reverse osteoporosis or osteopenia. Welcome to my RU-vid channel! A great way to stretch when I don't feel much to do anything today. I have a sore arm muscle from a vaccine shot yesterday but it feels like soreness all over. Thanks Susannah for a great start of my day

You're welcome! I love these poses too but for revolved triangle, a pose I have always loved to hate lol! It also worries me a bit for folks with osteoporosis. I realized in making the video it' a fantastic pose if done with blocks, and most appropriate for those who have some experience with the practice and know how to modify. Thanks for doing the session with me!

[1) TREE, (chair), 2) TRIANGLE, (chair), 3) WARRIOR 2, (reverse warrior), 4) SIDE ANGLE, (backbend), 5) (warrior 1), REVOLVED TRIANGLE*, 6) (crocodile), LOCUST (windshield wiper), (child/puppy/down dog), 7) BRIDGE (windshield wipers), 8) SUPINE HAND TO FOOT 1 with strap, 9) SUPINE HAND TO FOOT 2 with strap, (bounce knees, massage low back), 10) *TWIST 1: STRAIGHT LEGGED, 11) *TWIST 2: BENT KNEE, 12) SAVASANA *Urge those with advanced osteoporosis or beginners to use caution & find revolved triangle or twist modifications using chair]

Hi Susannah, Would love to do the poses, but could you elaborate on your warning, please? I am -3.6 spine, does that classify as advanced osteoporosis? or are the exercises ok to do? Thanks
