My ex-boyfriend, who was a calm man and never raised his voice or called me out my name, told me that he was not a fan of me posting selfies on my social media because it could cause guys to be in my DMs. My backside was never shown etc. Nobody was in my DMs and if they were I wouldn't respond. He even broke up with me once because I posted selfies and stated that women who do that don't respect their relationships. I was discussing getting a personal trainer once and he immediately advised not to hire any male personal trainers only woman. The list went on.

I was always crying n apologizing. He would say its your fault im.angry. u made me go n do drugs. I brought his anger. He wanted to kill me n told me so. He was abusive. In n out of my life 9yrs. He would silent treatment me if i didnt act the way he wanted. Said i deserved to be abused , yelled at n disrespected. Several times he yelled in my face, spit at me , cursed me, had a closed fist n said he would knock my teeth put n bash my skull in. He said he fantasized about choking me to watch the life leave my body. Said he thought about killing me stuffing me body in a duffle bag, cut up , going upstate n burying my body. He said no body no crime. He is a psychopath.

I hate controlling men

Controlling behavior is a huge turnoff. These tactics will surely cause the demise of any relationship. People think manipulation is a communication skill but it is not. It is extremely damaging and it erodes trust very quickly. Open, honest communication is always the win. 🥇

So my bf of 1.5 years literally has all of these. And more. Yet I find it hard to accept he is bad or I should leave, because he can also be very loving under all the control. And I fear I won’t find someone any better :( One day it will become clear to me I hope! I was married 17 years prior to this to an alco. I just don’t see many good men out there my age. So basically what you’re saying is that a controlling man is a man who acts like a woman? I.e. gets jealous, wants to know where you are, disapproves of your friends, demands that you always answer your phone when you call, wonders why you need external validation, etc.

I think the maker of the video shows below average insight into relationships and WOMEN. constant use of buzzwords like "toxic" = red flags ON FIRE. The narrator has no real depth in his "analyses." therapeutically and dialectically There is zero possibility for other outcomes etc. , the narrator is not effective at all in the one drawer in which he stuffs every "toxic"male, a singular and base description of identity, an insult if u will. . Its an unrealistic view that theres always one person who is completely WRONG, bad, tge bully, while the other is blame free apparently, once again not allowing for other possibilities, SOLUTIONS, processes etc. Disturbing. His opinions control every narrative even. Lastly, i submit the narrator knows this behavior so well because he himself has control behaviors that r not effective, not solution based, and which disallows for anything else but this guys OPINION. It takes more mettle to go to self and be responsible for ones choices and life solutions. Mimicking madeup "toxic" men is not only sophomoric it shows that the narrator has to use his persuasion w WOMEN by stating his OPINIONS (NOT TREATMENT) about other males revealing his own inability to include himself in the possibility that he is himself a controlling male.

What about when women don't want you to go out with your girlfriends just platonic friends let's say. The just happens to be a woman and she's very attractive. I don't think too many women would allow this to happen. I'm 6 foot two blonde hair blue-eyed I go to the gym five days a week I'm fairly well-built. Extremely well-off. If I had a wife or girlfriend are going to allow me to go to lunch or dinner with another woman it's very attractive. What if I consider that controlling.What if I want to go to Thailand by myself on vacation. And my girlfriend/wife doesn't want me to go isn't that controlling. I just need some space. Some time to myself.She should trust me.
