Lots of great tips! You look simply elegant and beautiful. I wish we had more women out there like you. My English grandmother died at 97. She had the most beautiful skin, even up close I couldn't see a line on her- I'm not joking. She would sit out in the sun too. She had 3 meals a day, full fat versions of everything, drank only water. No skincare routine, just washed her face each day. Her secret? Gold top milk each day from the milkman. This is Guernsey and jersey cow milk, it's more than just full fat. It comes in a glass bottle. That she said was her secret to soft, plump and wrinkle free skin.
I have found that if I use some of my foundation cream and mix it with small amount of face cream I have my own version of BB cream. It saves a lot of money in the long run. Cheers from Annie Stuart.
I think that woman over 60 in the United States have much different views on ageing and beauty. I am 62 and think that I am sensational. We need to stop being so critical of ourselves and embrace our beauty and age
So TrU...I Love doing things the Old fashion way, so like they say,Less Is More,No offense to anyone ,but this is just my personal opinion,I just dont understand, why🤔,Nowadays young Gals, love wearing alot of fake eyelashes, and many other things to look more atractive, when I feel that, they should embrace their natural facial Beauty and I think, that as woman,We are all Beautiful in some way or another.👍Im almost 50,and I love doing natural, home, facials, also the facial excercises,I try doing those,On and Off.👍
You need to try the ultimate skin care I use which is LimeLife by Alcone! I do a morning regimen and nighttime regimen. By the way, LimeLife has a fabulous Sunscreen which will NOT make your face dull. It makes your skin dewy! LimeLife is 100% organic too!
Wow, you are close to eighty one!! You look absolutely amazing. You are, also, so lovely and your personality oozes charm and warmth. I’m in my late 70s but I nearly gave up on my looks though I was always considered to be very attractive by others. I regularly have my hair coloured and styled and my nails painted, but I prefer a nice manicure and just a top clear coat on the nails. I so agree with drying hair naturally, I have very curly hair which I have always hated but now it softens my face, so that’s a blessing. Interesting points you raise about the silk pillowcase. I’ll start the facial exercises and use the face mask. Great advice for which I am very grateful for. Thank you. I’ve subscribed. I find you fascinating and inspirational. Much love and peace to youxxx
Hello, I am new to your channel and am intrigued with the 'french thing' I haven't got far so I don't know if you've answered this already but are you French In your heritage? I've always loved French fashion and am related to well known French actress so I suppose that accounts for it? Your content is interesting thank you.
Hi, Mary. A we bit of French, but not really. I just love the casual and classic style many French women have. French actresses are allowed to grow old and still be adored and appreciated. ❤️. Sandra
@@lifewithsandrahart my word!! I thought you were much younger!! You are a beautiful, classy lady. I'm forty eight and I feel like I was born in the wrong time. I love to see classy women and strive to always be classy myself. Kudos to you!! Love the lipstick!!
Dear Sandra, I am French, and I loved your tips ( I found them quite French, actually ), but I particularly liked the Lady you are ! I am 54, and for me you look like a role-model ! Thank you for giving us such an example of how we could be if only we wanted to. And congratulations for your willingness to transfer what you like and what you know to other women : it is such a precious treasure !
Veronique, Thank you so much for your kind comments. I really enjoy sharing my thoughts and feeling about pro aging and how we can help one another life the best life we can. ❤️. Sandra
1) Embrace your imperfections 2) Have an effortless style 3) Use your vintage accessories 4) Beautiful red lip 5) Conservative nails 6) Dry hair naturally/style when dry 7) Sleep on silk pillow case 8) Uncomplicated makeup bag 9) Use fragrance on kissable places 10) Get a great haircut 11) Simple skincare routine 12) Well groomed/soft eyebrows 13) Eat healthy 14) Work on your confidence
I have been doing everyone of the all my life except for 4 and 14 - I never needed to work on confidence, and I don't like the red lip because I think it gives a hard look to the face with very few exceptions.
The most stunningly beautiful woman I ever saw was a 4'8" Scottish lady of 84 years. She had hair and skin as white as snow, ruby red lips and eyes like blue sapphires. She was always immaculately dressed with a red coat to match her lips and her hair always set. She walked with such confidence,Grace and charm, with a smile for everyone. The most beautiful thing of all was her husband who always stood by her side silently and looked at her with such adoration and love in his eyes.
I am only 21, but I am so passionate about self care and aging gracefully so it is so inspiring to see older women like yourself being so kind and confident! Thank you for this video and for being authentically you 😊
You are just a delight, you are gorgeous and so soft spoken, just a darling, sweet, beautiful lady. And such amazing tips, I'm buying the silk pillow case tomorrow asap!!!
Jessica, You are going to really like your silk pillowcase and how it keeps your hair from going funky overnight. So easy on side sleepers facial skin. Thanks for all the kind comments. ❤️. Sandra
I am 20 and i admire you so much 😍❤ I implement your advice and I will mould myself to an elegant lady thanks so much 😍 Lots of love from Kenya Africa🇰🇪 ❤✨
Hello, You caught me at the right time! Welcome and thank you so much for subscribing. It’s so nice to know you are coming on this journey with us. Thanks for letting me know you are here. ❤️. Sandra
Absolutely! If you have been ill, just stay well. That's the most important thing! Also the satin pillowcase keeps hair from falling out as eaily, and prevents tangling, another cause of hair fall, so the pillowcase really is a good idea (except I don't know how to launder them)
I absolutely agree with all these points. I really struggle, though, with accepting my flaws. I really struggle with focusing too much on my perceived flaws.
Wendy, Everyone has something they don’t like, but those differences, those imperfections are what make us unique. Embrace those and know they make you special. ❤️. Sandra
Hi Sandra. I lived in France for 3 years and my favorite thing to do was sit at a cafe and watch the people go by. I noticed that french ladies keep it simple and classic. They seem to wear beautiful neutral colors (lots of taupe, olive, navy) that go well with their hair and skin. I was told that their mothers tutored them in what colors to wear, how to dress. Thank you for your informative videos and your kindness.
I am a 54 year old black woman, and new subscriber. Your elegance and advice remind me of my beautiful grandmother and aunty ( her sister), who I miss so much! Sandra, you are lovely...thank you.
Sandra - thank you so much for this video!! This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched and I just fell in love with your tips on confidence and everything else you said!! I already do some of the tips you talked about (and I’m from Mobile, Alabama, USA!!!). For as long as I can remember I’ve always washed my hair at night, put it loose in a very soft and thick elastic band and let it dry overnight. Most days I wear it natural - just the way it is when I wake up. Maybe once weekly I will use a low heat device to straighten strategic areas. I’m 60 years old and am complimented frequently on how healthy and pretty my hair looks! My hair is fine but I have a lot of it - it’s thick, it’s naturally wavy and tends to get frizzy in this humid south where I live. But - I have found that if I use a blow dryer on it, it gets really frizzy and won’t hold curl and generally looks bad. I don’t have an explanation for this but it’s a big reason that I always let my hair dry naturally overnight. Ive slept on a silk pillowcase for years - did you know that most women that I know think that their polyester “satiny looking” pillowcases are “silk pillowcases? They do!! A good silk pillowcase is a natural fiber that costs more but lasts a long time if you care for it in a gentle way. I exercise and eat a good diet most of the time! Also - I can’t believe that you are 81 years young! You look much, much younger!! I think that there is another important tip that goes along with confidence - ALWAYS have good posture! It makes such a huge difference in the way you look as well as feel. When I learned to “hold your shoulder blades together then bring them down and put them in your back pockets (DONT stick your chest out!!) and to correct my center of gravity by simultaneously holding my abdomen in while holding my behind out a tiny bit - it changed my life in so many ways!! Mainly it helped with back pain! It also makes you look your very best and portrays a sense of confidence! Sandra - you definitely have a new subscriber!!! Also - I absolutely love your calming voice and nature!! Much love, Karen
Karen, Thank you for subscribing and leaving such and interesting and informative comment. We are very much alike. My hair used to be so thick and rather course, but now that it has turned platinum it is more fine and frizzes no matter what I put on it. I live in a tropical climate and it frizzes with the extremely high humidity. Blow drying does make it worse. Posture is so important not only for appearance, but our internal organs. Thank you again. I look forward to having you in this journey with me. ❤️. Sandra
I totally agree with using a silk pillow slip! Not only is it good for your hair, but it's also wonderful for the skin! Perfume is always the last thing that I put on before I walk out the door! However when it comes to perfume, use a body cream wherever you are going to spray your perfume because it lasts a lot longer and you need less. It's nice to have a cream that matches your perfume, but it's not essential as long as it doesn't have its own perfume. I live on the east coast of Australia and we have very strong sun, so I always mix a cream colour with my sunscreen so that I only need to put one layer on my skin. I had my eyebrows tattood about five years ago, so now I just use a little brown eye shadow now that my hair is a softer colour to match up with my paler skin. I have also begun to dye my eyebrows and just the tips of my eyelashes because I must have longer lashes than I thought because every time I try putting on even one pass of mascara onto my lashes, they leave marks just below my eyebrows and a way below my eyes. This is something new for me because I had been wearing glasses for over 60 years, so every time I used mascara, it marked my glasses lenses, but I recently had cataract surgery and I love being able to wear my hair in any style I want without having to always consider my glasses. I'm finally able to have a fringe, or as you Americans say, bangs ... and I truly Love them!! My hairdresser laughed at how excited I was at the cut I had before the surgery because I told her how I'd wanted to have it all my life and at almost 67 I finally have a fringe! It's amazing just how youthful it looks with just a plain black headband! :) Anyway, now that I can wear mascara because I can see what I'm doing, I have discovered that I have long lashes, so I've just begun to dye the very tips of them myself. In my working life I always used to have them done when I had my hair done, but I've discovered that I can now do them myself, along with my brows just to cover the odd white hair amongst the darker ones. I agree with you 100% about a good haircut! I never feel good about myself if my hair doesn't look good, and I'm a firm believer that the colour of one's hair doesn't matter if you have a great cut! I automatically book in for 5 weeks for my next appointment before I leave my hairdressers otherwise it's easy for the time to pass by too quickly and by the time I'm aware that my hair needs another cut, it's already two weeks too late! I believe that a good perfume and a good haircut are the two things that are essential, and add a good night's sleep and a smile on your face are about the best ingredients to making you feel good. I also try to pay someone a genuine compliment when I am out and about. It always makes me feel so happy to see someone else smile .... so we both end up with a shared smile. We don't know what sort of day someone is having, but it's always nice to think that we may have just made their day a little better. I especially love to see a total stranger who is wearing a nice piece of clothing, or they have nice eyes, smile, or a nice hair cut or colour and just comment as we walk past each other ... It always makes me smile and feel so light inside! I dare everyone to try this and see how it changes your fault. :)
Wendy, I just loved your comment so full of interesting things about you and how you go about your day. How lucky you are to have such long eyelashes! So many would love to naturally have them. Layering fragrances is always a great way to have the fragrance last. You are smart to so what you do. Thank you very much for sharing today. Always a smile and kind word is the best. ❤️. Sandra
Good morning from California. I just found your channel. I am 58 years old. Loved your video and subscribed right away. I am going to Paris next month. ☺
May I hide in your suitcase? Have a wonderful time in Paris. It is a beautiful time of year to visit. I’m so happy you found me and hope you will spend time with me often. Thank you for letting me know you are here. ❤️. Sandra
Hi Sandra, I wonder if one day you could do a video about Italian women... The first thing is that we embrace naps. I have a nap every day no matter what, even if I am out and get back home after 5... Keeping passion alive... either with a person you are crazy about or doing things that make you feel alive... Singing.. most Italian people love to sing. This brings a beautiful rosy glow to the skin. Allow your self to get angry. Repressing anger turns a beautiful women bitter. Enjoy flirting, dancing , having a good meal and a glass of wine. I am very lucky. My skin is light olive and is in great shape. I take biotin and my hair is thick and long. The other thing I do is make a mask from one organic egg and a splash of lemon juice. I put it on my entire face and relax listening to opera while it dries. This tightens the skin and keep the complexion even. I love misting my skin after with a mineral spray. I prefer light pink lips and more dramatic eye makeup. Thank you for mentioning the face massage. I made up my own, but I will check yours out. Have a lovely day , Sandra Warm regards, Ana Sophia
Ana Sophia, Sounds like you are doing so many right things for you all around. Live from the met used to be on the radio every Saturday in Miami and then the station went off the air. I used to mask while listening to that broadcast. I always looked for that ‘me’ time on Saturdays. ❤️. Sandra
You know i am not italian i lived in italy almost 10 years after my marriage with my husband my kids born in anzio Rome and then we left Italy now almost 3 years passed and i missed Italy everyday i love italy like italians i don't know why i am telling you this maybe because you are italian i says everyday my husband to take me back to Italy but he can't do this

I just found your channel today and I am 68 and from California. I loved this video. I wish you were my neighbor and that we were friends. You just glow and when you smile it is magical.
Deborah, I am so excited you found me and it would be nice to be able to share in person our experiences. Thank you for such a nice comment. ❤️. Sandra
Natalie I’m so sorry that you had to have that happen to you especially when you’re young negative things like that soak in like a sponge. I hope now you realize how wonderful and special you are. You are unique and there’s no one else like you in the whole wide world. Embrace that uniqueness and know that you are beautiful. Thank you so much for watching today.❤️
I am so happy I came across your channel. You are LOVELY! I am getting close to 60 and I want to age with grace. I am grateful for women who embrace age in such a beautiful way. Thank you!
You will Leslie. Age and aging marches on, but with the right attitude it won’t make a difference how old your are. You will always be beautiful if you are confident and treasure your inner beauty that radiates outwardly. ❤️. Sandra
Sandra you look absolutely stunning, I believe your almost 81 years old, and you are truly breathtaking. 💞 I adore your silk scarf too, you look like you could be in Paris shopping the stores...STUNNING Your word is golden to me
Thank you ever so much Christine I’m working my way to 82. I can’t believe it! Thank you so much for enjoying this video and I’m so happy that you let me know that you enjoyed it. Have a beautiful day today.❤️
You seem like such a joy to be around, I aspire to be like you, with that warmth and just that "nice person" quality that glows and makes people just happy to see you talking and listen to you!!!
Jessica, That is the kindest thing to say. I really appreciate your comment. Kind of a virtual hug! Thanks so much. I’m sure you are just as much of a joy to be around. ❤️. Sandra
YES!! And Brigitte Bardot, a French beauty was a natural space between her teeth and that was part of her natural beauty. I LOVE French things, especially Chanel no. 5!!
I totally agree with you about not using too many products on your face. I watch one RU-vid channel where every week the video creator pulls out two or three new “holy grail” products that she has to use! Creams, and serums, and it’s just ridiculous.
You are such a sweetheart! I Subscribed because you made me feel so good with your words. I just turned 58 and I hate hearing of all this plastic surgery. I want to love myself the way I am and I can see how much YOU love yourself. And you are beautiful all around! Thank you ❤
Thank you for this video, and thank you for saying that we're on an PRO aging journey. As you put it so eloquently, we need to accept ourselves and the changes we experience at every stage of life.
Whatever you are saying is so different from the commercials and advertisements around us about synthetic/plastic beauty. You are a delight to watch :*
Hello to beautiful Mumbai and the beautiful women of India. I have visited your country three times and always deem of returning. Thank you so much, Kiran. ❤️. Sandra
I remember buffing my nails with that pink cream and chamois buffer. Also, I got a great haircut at a Barber shop for $20. I’ve paid a lot for bad haircuts over the years. It’s about finding someone who cares about making you look good. Thanks for the great content.
Thank you Sandra for these beauty tips. I have spent so much money watching some of these content creators. I am going to do a thorough house cleaning of my beauty products. I plan on taking all of your advise when it comes to beauty products. Keeping it simple sounds like such a relief for me. Again, thank you for the valuable feedback. I think you are just the best. Gotta run and start binge watching your videos. I feel like I have missed so much. You are loved! 💕💄
Terri, I am so happy to have you along with the rest of us on this pro aging journey. Throughout the years I have found that less is more and we should all embrace who we are and our imperfections. Thank you so very much to do here to help us all live a better life and a more satisfying one in this chapter of our lives. ❤️
Sandra you are absolutely glowing in this video! I recently bought a vintage silk scarf at a flea market for $15 and you’ve inspired me to starting wearing it 💗
Elinor, I have collected so many pretty silk scarves over the years, some from thrift shops and I recently have started to discover them again. They just add a smart touch to a plain dress or top, don’t they? ❤️. Sandra
Such a lovely, nice and beautiful young lady ! Thank you for useful advices 😍. My grandma was a very attractive lady, she used to use always the same red colour of Chanel lipstick, even as she was 70
I am with you on the red lipstick! I am 60, so I am going over to my sterling silver hair. I've earned it, forget the dyes. However, when you are light to medium skinned, and with lighter hair due to the silver, one needs SOME color SOMEWHERE!! It might as well be the cheeks and lips. (more on the lips, less on the cheeks, but going higher on the cheekbones, forget the apples of the cheeks, they've dropped some...lol. Depends on your face shape too. But the reds can be all sorts of red. I like a bright clear neutral red. Orange red makes the teeth look like cheetos puffs (orangey) and a blue red makes you look like an elderly Vampira. Trying too hard. I like your lipstick, which is a soft brick red, very nice! Pink reds look nice too, watermelons, strawberries if you don't feel comfortable with red yet. Berries for those with darker skins or have had darker skin, eyes, or hair. You can find something, and then carry it off. If you don't want to pay for blush, then use a dot or so of your lip color and blend it in.
Patricia, Thanks for the detailed post. I agree on every point. Interesting that orange red does make even the whitest teeth look yellow. Thanks for sharing today. ❤️. Sandra
This is the first time I’ve watched one of your videos. You look great!! Those wrinkles have missed you!! I’m 70 and that fact amazes me everyday! I don’t feel 70 ( except for my knees)! I’ll have to watch your facial exercise video. I’m a hairstylist so air drying the hair is good for curly hair, but for people with fine straight hair like mine-we must blow dry!! It’s not the blow dryer that damages your hair, unless you have the temp on incinerate!! Turn the heat to medium-fine straight hair needs the air to plump it up and give it lift!! You are right about the haircut! If you are the type of person that wants to look neat with minimal effort--make sure the outline of your cut is a blunt cut!! You can razor or layer the interior all you want, but a blunt bottom will always keep its shape!!
Diane, Welcome! Thank you. It’s always great to get advice from an expert! Lots of healthy hair tips in your comment. I appreciate your posting and sharing today. ❤️. Sandra
Diane Thompson I was thinking just as you said. My hair is blond, quite straight, and fine. I HAVE to use the hair dryer, though I do so just to give my hair the right shape and to give it a little volume. I’ve kept my hair quite short with longer fringe in the front. When I wake up in the morning, it sticks straight out in a way I could never expect it to do if I WANTED it to stick out. Maybe I should go for something more akin to a short bob so that it has a blunt bottom and then maybe it wouldn’t stick out in the morning. I hate that I HAVE to wet and dry my hair even though it’s already clean. Sandra, this is the first I’ve seen of your videos. Very informative. I think I’m going to purchase a silk pillow case, as you suggest, in order to reduce the way my hair sticks up in the morning hahaha Thanks! I live in France and see for myself the characteristics you describe regarding French women :0)
kmichalene the satin pillowcase will help, maybe just lightly spritz to calm it down, but not enough to have to dry! Evidently you move around a lot in your sleep! Lol!
You are amazing. I turned 60 and have been in such a serious slump of what is my worth at this age. Very very sad. Watching your video has given me hope that I could still have good years ahead. Thank you.
Hey I did pretty well with that list except for the red lip. I l like it on everyone but me. Lol - And I certainly agree about the endless list of products paraded on you tube. If I bought all that stuff I'd have nothing left for savings or entertainment. 😂 You're looking especially pretty this morning. 🙋
I came here by accident and I'm delighted! it's so wonderful to hear you. You have the gift to say things very interesting, and your tips are useful even when I’m 40! 😀Thank you for all 🌹
You are such a LADY! How refreshing your advice is and true. Simple habits endure time. Look forward to more advice and tips. You’re so charming. Thank you Sandra.
Sandra you really are a "wise woman" in the traditional sense and so good to see a mature woman on the subject of beauty. I am now going to look at your facial exercise videos. Thank you. Swan
Nice video🌸 Liked how you emphasize wearing perfume lightly! Too many women wear way too much and it's frankly obnoxious. Seems many think if a little's good- more's better. No, no!

Sieglinde, Hello and welcome. Austria. I have a great friend, Gunther Stockhammer who was a famous Austrian hockey star. He visits us several times a year in Miami Beach. He is such a wonderful human being. Thank you for letting me know you are here! ❤️. Sandra
Sieglinde Strohmaier Hello from Wisconsin USA. My grandma was from Graz & my grandpa from Stagersbach. I’m looking forward to visiting Austria: You can’t find anything regarding Austria; very disturbing here in the states! N
Sandra, what are your feelings about wearing false eyelashes as mature stylish woman? You teach such a natural elegant style and beauty one would have to be mad not to subscribe. Simply adorable. Thank you so much. Blessings.
Laura, I zusually do not wear false eyelashes, but I did a video with Nicole Johnson and she put false eyelashes on me and I absolutely love the look. Sometimes I put them on when I’m filming, but when I am just going about my ordinary life I don’t wear them. It’s a personal preference. I just don’t want to go to all of that trouble. I do have to agree though, if you don’t mind the few minutes it takes to put them on they do make for beautiful eyes. Thank you for your kind comments and for subscribing.❤️
Thanks Sandra, lots of great advice. I have to agree with all of your tips. French women look great all the time. I am afraid of peelings. I worry about harming my skin. I got the derma roll and have never use it. I am hesitant about it.....you always look great.....blessings.......MINDY
I can’t help but think they look like sharpies! My friend has always used the black eyeliner and eyebrows but at 48, it doesn’t look good anymore. I’m only putting on a little blush on my eyelids with a soft brown or green eyeliner on top and only mascara on top. Now that my kids are droopier, anything more makes me look older.
Hello! May I say - you are so charismatic, I subscribed 2 minutes into the video! I have lived in France for a couple of years and yes - this effortless style, the good hair, simple makeup - all is true! Great video, thank you!
Hello to you as well. Thank you so much for subscribing to my channel. I cover everything we might be thinking about to help us live the best life we can and encourage sharing of stories. ❤️. Sandra
Hi Sandra, You are such an inspiration. I love your scarf. I would love to learn how to tie it the way you did. These are wonderful tips. You make me feel so positive about things. Especially when you said in your get to know me video you began a new career at my age. I am just getting back into the workforce age 51 after raising our daughter while my husband is in the military. Thank you for your wonderful videos. I could listen to you all day. Oh Emoji eyebrows so funny LOL :) xoxo Becki
Becki, I hope you enjoy this new chapter in your life. I know at 50 I was excited to do something different in my career. It’s a great time. Enjoy!! ❤️. Sandra
Agree with all of your tips except staying out of the sun. I never use sunscreen and have great skin. We need to get the Vitamin D and all of the other benefits from the sun. Sunscreen is loaded with unhealthy chemicals also. People have been sold a bill of goods on this. It doesn't mean baking in the sun though. If you are going to be out in the sun for long periods, use a hat. Love your channel.
We do need D. It’s true that most of us are Vitamin D deprived. D is so important to our health and if we don’t get it from the sun, we should take a good supplement. I use a zinc oxide, lavender and carrot seed oil sunscreen and not one with chemicals. I try not to put any chemicals on or in my body. You are so correct. They sat just 29 minutes in the sun per day will give you the D you need. Thanks for your reminding us. ❤️. Sandra
Bon River I agree. The only time I wear sunscreen is when I will be out in the sun for a long time. i don’t wear daily sunscreen. I don’t need it to walk from the car to the office and back again.
