Omg, i miss Dim Sum so much. Quarantine in NYC, 😕🙁 5/22/20. The radish cake is a mix of raddish and rice flour with diced Chinese sausage and dry miniature prawn, scallion. yummy. Serve with oyster sauce. My grandfather made the steam sponge cake, i always thought it was an American Chinese thing. Never ate it in HK. Love the lotus sticky rice. I love my sweet red bean dessert. You forgot my fav, the fried taro dumpling. I really enjoyed having dim sum with you 💕

I used to remember this place as the Golden Palace. I guess they changed their name, tells you how long ago I was at this place. Anyway the charming thing about a Yum Cha place is all the ladies coming around with their trollies of food and then talking to you in Chinese even though you can speak a word of it. Just hand it over lady, give me a stamp. Too good hahaha.

@Richard1855
@Richard1855 4 года назад
@@JaniceFung I was informed that these days, the correct protocol of two finger tapping is ONLY to be used to thank the person pouring/serving you tea, case of "your action speaks louder". You do not do this when the waiter staff brings the pot of tea to your table, instead you say it. You would still have to say "thank you" if food is being served/offered to you. Sounds confusing doesn't it? Furthermore my personal take is that with the noise level in about every yum cha restaurant is at fever pitch that you can't be heard anyway LOL
