Both times I went to Coors Field, I sat in the Rock Pile. It was in the 90's, shortly after it was built. They were ultra cheap, same day purchase tickets. I love what they did with the Rooftop in right field.
I actually went to LoanDepot Park last summer and I really liked that stadium - the staff was great, it was indoors during a rainstorm so that was unique, and this was when the Marlins were on that absolute tear in the summer so the place was packed, and not just with visiting fans (though it was the Cardinals so there were plenty of them) but with people who were there for the Marlins - the PA didn't even need to start "let's go Marlins" chants, the crowd was doing it themselves. After the game the weather had cleared up enough for a fireworks show and NGL that game (a one-run Marlins win) and experience was everything I love about seeing ballgames - I'm not even a Marlins fan and I got swept away That said I still wish the home run statue was inside, that's too cool to be rotting behind the stadium
They wrecked the outfield at Oracle. The entire projects wrecked the look. It used to be so clean with triples ally. Now it just looks like crap. They could have done the bull pens under the scoreboard and taken out some vending. Just looks horrible the way they did it.
dodger Stadium opened in 1962, is the 3rd oldest ballpark, and has a capacity of a smidgen above 57,000 - a full upper, upper deck would probably take it to 70,000 or 75,000. They also hold single game attendence record, single World Series game attenance record, and home World Series total attendance records - but that is a bit of a fudge because of where those records were set.
I still think the las Vegas raiders torch violations the Olympic version of the torch there because of the similar design there. And I'm not surprised the NFL and ioc will be in court because of that torch there. So can we agree with that issue here.
Rogers Centre. What a horrible name. They own the team and ballpark. Why are they putting their name on it? They don’t make any money off it. Bring back SkyDome. BTW, the renovations there are fantastic!
