Love your videos Tom. I've recently lost a lot of weight quickly with keto and intermittent fasting. Now I have loose skin around my waist from being 300 pounds most of my adult life. Any tips on getting rid of it? I've done lots of research and it always ends in the same result, surgery. I don't have that much extra skin but enough to kill the buzz of losing the weight in the first place. First I was embarassed to go shirtless because of my BIG gut and now I'm embarassed to go shirtless due to the extra skin hanging off my mid section. Any suggestions? Thanks man!!!

Margarine is ONE molecule away from being PLASTIC. And that is not the only problem. They are typically made from seed oils and so called vegetable oils that are not vegetables. They are seeds. This is one of the main causes of clogged arteries. Not because the oil clogs the arteries and blood vessels itself. It inflames, swells and irritates them so your body sends in a massive healing response and over time it is really like having a scab of your body's own attempt to repair your arteries that ends up clogging and stopping blood flow. Re: Aspertame and is it inflammatory? It gives me a horrible headache and since your brain has no feeling it is the lining of your brain being inflamed that causes the pain. So yes Aspertame causes inflamation. Also. Diet drinks make you fat. No they do not have sugar or calories etc but they SPIKE YOUR INSULIN levels by 300% which is your fat packing hormone. So yes diet drinks do make you fat because whatever sugar that happens to be in your blood from anything else you eat get turned into fat... because of your diet soda.

So why in the 80s, when my dad tested for extremely high cholesterol, did his doctor say, "no butter, use margarine...it's healthy"? The medical and food industries have failed us miserably! Thanks Thomas for giving us good information along with data to back it up.
@monnoo8221
@monnoo8221 10 месяцев назад
why? cuz everybody not able to understand the biochemistry of human metabolism by itself got brainwashed, after everybody got intentionally deceived by suppressing big scientific studies that showed otherwise. But doctors are the last to understand biochemistry anyway. recently I had a medical exam, the doctor, metabolic sick with a belly like a big frog sitting in a chair, asked me: "Any medications?2 ... i am 62 and in quite good shape.. answering "no", he : "Are you sure?" ....

Small correction at 12:30- mRNA is for messenger RNA, not micro RNA (the latter is abbreviated miRNA). Messenger RNA implies INCREASED expression of a gene, while microRNA actually INHIBITS gene expression by binding mRNA. Not hating, just don't want anyone to be confused! Loved the video Side note: that study literally injected mice with 2-4mg/g MSG (not mg/kg, per GRAM), which is equivalent to eating 70g of the stuff for the average person 😅

I do not have celiac... I am one of those that do not feel good on Gluten. I believe it's the pesticides/fertilizers, and processing, and overuse, all in conjunction. I did lose 50 pounds from near 200 to just under 150 by getting rid of 4 things: Gluten, Flax, Sugar (buy buy fruits - they are back in my diet now however), and lastly, Soy. I was working out at 200lbs for 2 hours per day. I cut that down to 30-40 minutes per day, changed the diet, and lost 25% of my body mass- Back to the weight I wrestled at when I was 15/16 with EASE.

Making your own salad dressing is much cheaper than buying healthy dressing. I've purchased Primal Kitchen Caesar Salad dressing as well as the Italian salad dressings, these are not cheap and I had a difficult time getting the Caesar salad dressing out of the bottle without a knife. The US does not grow as much red wheat, it doesn’t yield a lot of crop, I grew up with bread from red wheat, no bread in US tasted ever close enough to it. Now living in US for 30 years I need to be gluten free, luckily I don’t miss it that much. When I went back to my country 5 years ago, I still couldn’t tolerate gluten, so they don’t follow strict guidelines anymore either. 🤷🏻‍♀️
@arturiuspendragon6849
@arturiuspendragon6849 10 месяцев назад
Both France and the US grow red and white wheat. The main difference is the red wheat is slightly higher in protein (more gluten) and has several genes that produce tannins which give it the different color and a more bitter, intense taste. Those genes have been bred out of white wheat. They often get used for different products in baking with red wheat showing up in recipes for denser, harder breads and white wheat being used for softer breads, pastries and the like. Many bakers also mix red and white flour in different proportions if they're looking for certain textures and flavors. You're 100% right about chemicals. The EPA does an atrocious job compared to the agencies in the EU in managing the types and quantities of pesticides and other chemicals allowed in our food supply. The only major country I can think of that's worse is China whose agricultural supply probably resembles a crazy chemistry set more than actual food.

The one thing that seems to be omitted in all of these conversations about how is: We're all dying. Death is inevitable. No matter what we do the end is the big sleep. Here for a good time not for a long time. Be discerning. Get good sleep. Stay hydrated. Move your body. Eat whole foods as much as possible. Limit refined processed foods and sugar. Limit fried foods and trans fats. Aside from that you're dying.

@elainetyger
@elainetyger 10 месяцев назад
If you make the salad dressing right before you eat it, you should not need an additive. Arrowroot is just starch, it is all natural, but pretty much just carb. Ground mustard seed is highly flavorful but also helps to emulsify. If you have pasteurized egg yolk, that works very well also. Raw egg yolk is what's used in mayonnaise, but unless you are raising the chickens yourself, I would only use pasteurized raw egg yolk. If you are good enough to make whipped cream with just a whisk and a bowl, then your whisking skills are good enough to emulsify that salad dressing through service time.

@@skivalmy DR told me it was Dangerous to stop taking Statins. I’m only on 10mg a day. I did some research and I think the reason they say that is Lipitor and other statins actually harden the damage in your arteries. Stopping the statins all at once softens the arterial walls and those chunks of solidified cells can break loose and cause you trouble in the ways of Heart attack or blood clots. I’ll have to investigate more. You probably have to wean yourself off of them.

#4- The most common place you'll consume rancid oil is fast food. Tortilla chips, taco shells, chicken nuggets, french fries, etc. Taco bell is one of the worst offenders. Once you become familiar with the smell of rancid cooking oil you can't miss it

I love your channel, super informative . I really appreciate the actual studies you find . Do you think fish oil capsules could be rancid after storage in warehouses or transporting in trucks for who knows how long? Also, what about our body temperature and stomach acid causing issues with fish oil decomp and assimilation?

Bart Kay and Pim Jansson tested many commonly available fish oil supplements and found almost all were rancid. Rancid fish oil contains high levels of aldehydes which are terrible for your health.

0:20: 🍔 The video discusses the 18 most inflammatory foods, with a focus on margarine and trans fats. 2:58: 🥦 High fructose corn syrup, processed foods, and rancid fats can all contribute to inflammation in the body. 6:14: 🥩 Processed meats, not red meat, are found to be inflammatory due to synthetic additives and preservatives. 8:40: 🥦 Adding antioxidants to your diet can have potential health benefits and starting the day with a nutrient-rich smoothie is a great way to do so. 11:16: 📚 Recent research suggests that there is no health benefit to drinking alcohol, but having one drink a week is not harmful. MSG, although derived from a natural source, can have negative effects on the brain. 14:09: 🥗 Certain foods like potato chips, salad dressings, and high heat cooked foods with rancid oils can contribute to inflammation. 17:03: 🧂 Excessive salt intake can lead to inflammation and immune response activation. I have no issue with Gluten that said I have serious digestive issues with some store bough bread. I have no idea what they put in it but it messes me up. I can make bread at home and eat a ton of it and have no issue. I think it is the oils, or preservatives in the bread that really gets to me.

Does Thomas ever respond to comments? I am curious to know how we can find a good quality protein powder with the most amount of necessary nutrients in it like amino acids, BCAA’s, high protein Etc? I do not have all of my small intestine and sometimes struggle with absorption and low low protein as well as some other things. Looking for the best ways to supplement my bodies nutrient needs in a healthy affordable way.

Unfortunately has to be trial and error since many people cannot tolerate Whey, Pea, other concentrated Protein Powders. I recently tried a brand of Grass Fed Beef Protein Powder for example and I had a pretty bad eczema response whereas I have no problems with eating Beef/Steak.
