#182. This Resin Art Experiment BLEW ME AWAY!!! A Video by Daniel Cooper
Here is a Resin Art video of me experimenting with UV resin and hair shampoo, I created a few different ideas I had but sadly I didn't get the Ruperts Drop this time.... however..... The Mini Sculptures are absolutely INCREDIBLE! I'm 100% exploring this more!
Please do NOT experiment with products which may be dangerous if mixed with resin!

I loved this experiment but just a warning, be very careful with the UV light bouncing into your eyes as the soap will reflect in all directions.

I have been wondering about eye protection. With two part resin there are warnings galore, and everyone knows the risks. But for UV I’m using nitrile gloves and yellow eye protection. But I’ve found there is very little advice generally on safe use of UV resin.

I had a furnace put in when I first started working with uv resin. A tech told me they use uv flash lights/torches to look for leaks. They use the yellow goggles for eye protection, and he strongly recommend that I use them also. I use mine every time I use my uv lights.

Your sub conscious is making it into that. That's why everyone sees something different at first, although they may see what you do after reading your comment. The brain is strange... but consider that it makes an image out of what our eyes take in, but it's completely shut off from the outside and has never seen a thing...

I have a load of resin I haven’t used, it may be passed it’s expiry and a lil iffy but I’m not throwing a whole litre of 1:1 expensive resin out. The only thing is that type of resin can’t be used in this type of shirt n quick experiment I’m pretty sure. But you’ve certainly got me thinking tho

I bet you could refine the drop rate by using different densities. If you weigh 100ml of resin, and 100ml of that shampoo, you’ll be able to see that they are (I bet) very close, resin being a little more dense. Then you could thin the shampoo slightly for a faster drop, or evaporate it some to thicken it. Great experiment!

I’m glued to the screen excitedly watching every drop fall😮 I mention your Chanel to everyone in the chat. I also here your name as your ideas are tried. I might need you autograph now before you get too famous.

I am fascinated by your little people sculptures! How amazing that you got those! I'm glad you were able to do it a second time while you were recording and get a similar result so we could watch.

Love this one with the uv resin and the shampoo very cool effects I wonder what it would look like with fluorescent power in the uv resin?

The big droplet hairdo reminded me a bit of the old Astro Boy cartoon character. Don't know if that's what you were thinking, but there is my guess.

It reminds me of those sculptures with the mom and dad holding up the baby.

Could that character possibly be ASTRO Boy? I loved that cartoon. AND what a cool experiment. I love it and plan on trying it right now. Thanks for the idea.

My first thought was to try a spiraling/moving the resin as it dropped so was glad when you did it! Such a random and fun sculpture! They do look like little characters.

As far as shape goes, I like the ones that look like people. But as far as pretty goes, I like the mylar ones the best. I would love to see more of these videos. Thank you for making them.
