More work on the 1855 project! Two valves come off , and three valves go back on. Just another video that hopefully will help someone keep their oliver running.

I’ve always used those adapters and a 90° end on the hose but after seeing what you done here I like the idea of the back set using 90° adapter so that they’re kind of stacked. I think it makes it look neater. Ill have to wait and see how you like it finished.

Chris, Side note on those adapters, on our 1855 the bolt for the axle housing in front of those adapters has to come out if you want to screw the 45 degree adapters out. But you have to take the stack loose and tilt the remote up to get the bolt out first 😅. It Never ends
@ThatOliverGuyChris
@ThatOliverGuyChris 8 дней назад
I already had that bolt out to clean behind the platform support, so I got lucky once again!

Juliet, a home for industrious wasps. Don't ask me how I found out how angry they get when you climb on to go cultivate the garden. The tips on that 3rd valve lever look a 1/8" too short. ROPS on an Oliver was one of their trade looks. I think the tractors with ROPS look a lot better than those Army Dozer armored cabs.
@ThatOliverGuyChris
@ThatOliverGuyChris 7 дней назад
It did come out a bit short, but it acts like it's going to work ok. I'm going to bolt the console down and give it hell to make sure it stays engaged.

Noticed that you installed the remote pressure line off camera. That one was always a challenge to do in the field, due to tight quarters and lots of dirt / trash packed into the remote end area. You provided a lot of great information on the design, operation, and options of the 55 series remotes!
@ThatOliverGuyChris
@ThatOliverGuyChris 7 дней назад
I thought I had that and putting a new oring in the fitting where that line connects. Not sure where that footage went, but when a tractor is as bare as this one, it's pretty easy to install.

You know Chris, I am sure someone out there has been running something other than a planter fan on theirs for years and had no problem! But I agree with you 100%. You need to do things so the oil stays as cool as possible for max life!

I've seen loaders tapped into that port. It works, but there's better ways to get the job done.

Hey Chris long time viewer, love all your videos and the knowledge you share! If you happen to read this I had a question. Would an oliver 77 or 770 be able to run a 4row white 5100? Thanks again for all the videos!
@ThatOliverGuyChris
@ThatOliverGuyChris 2 дня назад
I think they should. You'd want to have a pto pump to run the fan on the planter. I have a friend that pulled a 6 row 5100 with his Super 88. If you have some steep hills it could be a challenge, but other than that I don't see why ot shouldn't work.

I struggled with the 3 point lift rod rubbing the hoses when I added the third valve. Maybe I had the hoses too long…I don’t know??

My brother gave it to me for Christmas. The brand is Suptig, and I think he bought it on Amazon. I added the magnetic base. It's small and bright, making it very handy.

I’m doing a super 88 diesel restoration and it needs some injection pump work, and some fuel filter work your video on that pump helped and all I need now is a serial number plate when my dad bought it it didn’t have one and I’d like to find one and what’s your best recommendation on the paint for the grill I got some rust oleum Sunset, yellow but want to see what matches the decal color the best preferably spray paint thanks

New Holland yellow is close, but not quite perfect. Oliverdecals.com can make you a new serial tag. They'll need to know your number so they can stamp it in.

Hello from Tasmania,can anyone please tell me the size gland packing I will need for my .1945 Oliver 80 water pump and also the right size fan belt. Thanks Kerry.
@ThatOliverGuyChris
@ThatOliverGuyChris 7 дней назад
The parts book has it as part number C358A for the water pump packing seal. Unfortunately they don't give a size and it's discontinued, at least through AGCO. Your best bet is to take it apart, measure the shaft and bore area and see if you can find something that will fit in there. The fan belt is a C372A. I was able to find a few places online that sell replacement belt by search for "c372A oliver belt" Check out this link. Even if they don't ship to Tasmania, they have a list of all the different models it fits, plus the dimensions of the belt that will hopefully help you find something more local. www.tractorpartsasap.com/belt-fan-new-case-02696ab1-a26660-t5031-108776.html

I was wondering with my Oliver 2255 that I am thinking of taking the cab off but don't know if a 1850 or a 1855 platform will fit on it or not? Or if I need to find a different option just looking for a idea.
@ThatOliverGuyChris
@ThatOliverGuyChris 5 дней назад
No to the 1850, and probably yes to the 1855. They changed the platform in 74 in the way it mounts to the sub frame. The 1755 and 1955 use the same platform and have the same change, so there are options out there.
@jacobburdick3588

Ok thank you that helps me figure out what I need to do. With your 2255 if it was just a parade tractor which way would you you have it no cab or have a cab on it.
