The Victorian government has made it easier to be able to register your interest (ROI) to migrate there. However the ROI selection criteria will mean that it will be very competative and a large percentage will not receive an invitation.

As we know it is clearly indicated 491 is prioritized so if I indicate 190 and preferable visa meaning I'll be less favourable and may not be invited as quick as indicating 491 on the ROI. 407's training visa isn't it. Well I'd say relax. As long as its bridging just keep working with them and focus on all the other points. :) You have a good employer I assume. All I have had are just startup companies who had no intention of sponsoring or even being flexible with my visa. Didn't have much fun during Covid with my TR..

For Vic 190 Prashanth no need to be working at all or necessirily in your nominated occupation. It probably helps if you are but not mandatory

Hi Karl, Kindly help. By mistake i submitted the Eoi for Vic Roi tht had SA state set as preference. They mailed me that they cant find my Eoi, this made realised my mistake and then i changed the prefered state to Victoria in my Eoi. Will this event make my Roi null or the Vic gov will consider it now after changing the state?? It's all great news for those living in Australia. But for offshore applicants there is very very tiny window. No hope practically. Australia will face more and more challenges in skilled workers sectors because other countries, like Canada, UK, even some EU countries are taking decisions in a more quick time. Applicants are shifting their focus on those countries where they will get quicker response. Shame on this sluggish Australian system... 👎
