23 years old. Little did anyone know this kid would one day make decisions that would have meant either nuclear annihilation of millions of people, or peace.
HE HAD SENCE OF HUMOR .HE LOVES ADVENTURE.HE DIDNT HAVE IN MIND TO BE PRESIDENT.HE DID IT FOR HIS FATHER.HE MUST HAVE REALISE THE PURPOSE HE WAS PUT ON THIS EARTH TO SERVE.
Actually the truth is a little more complicated, certainly Joe Sr. pushed him after Joe Jr. died, but JFK was pretty independent, saying it had to be his decision. Actually his grandfather (Rose's Dad) was the one who partly convinced him. JFk was at loose ends after the war and the loss of his brother, his grandfather planted the seed. Saying who is always reading about politics, history and current events, who think he is smarter than most. In the end it was JFK's own decision and desire that made him enter politics.
His thin, muscular frame belied the medical conditions that plagued him throughout his adult years. Addison's disease, intestinal trouble and chronic bad back from injuries sustained from his stint in the Navy. Nevertheless our most charismatic President imho.
Yes - shocked to see him running. But the PT incident messed up his back, forever. If he had not had those back problems, he would not be wearing the brace he was wearing in the limousine in '63, which kept him upright and the target of the second bullet which snuffed out his life in a split second.
He injured his back in Havard playing football it must be hell when during PT 109incident.In early marriage he nearly died from from the operation. He sure did have fighting spirit to battle all his health issue willing sincerly to serve his counrty n world a better place.
Fun fact - in 1961 President Kennedy started a special program for students from Kenya to go to American Universities. One of the first in this program was Barack Obama Sr, who went to the University in Hawaii, and stayed on to become a US citizen.
Oh no....I have never heard of that concept before.....just thought it rather funny people calling JFK the greatest Prez who didn't even serve 3 years....hyperbole much.....ever hear of that?@@ronthomas7068
A gifted leader and orator. Whatever his personal shortcomings (womanizing, etc.) JFK didn't shirk his duty in WWII (and he could have with his health and family's wealth). Much respect.
Yeah, and get this, once upon a time, he was only 7 years old! He may even have been a baby before that but that is unconfirmed as of now.But you will be the first to know...
@@maria-melek Kirk LeMoyne “Lem” Billings, who was a gay man, was one of JFK’s dearest friends. The two met in 1933, while they were in their Sophomore year at Choate Prep School in Connecticut. Lem became like another member of JFK’s large family. After JFK was elected President, Billings was a frequent guest at the White House. After President Kennedy’s assassination, Billings remained close to the rest of the Kennedy family, until he passed away from a heart attack in 1981. If you know anything at all about JFK, you should have heard about Lem Billings.
Thanks very much I’ve just seen a rolls Royce like one of those cars in Hanwells southall jfk was my previous incarnation. It was a very stunning confusing death, I think. Thanks
@@javiervalverde2374 JFK and Red Fay did not know each other at the time this video was taken. JFK met Fay while they were both serving in the Navy during WW2.
