Personally speaking, the woodworking for sure, The Wheel barrow restoration and seeing just how much of the original timber they salvage is what sold me on the channel!
I absolute love it when you take so much care in details like screw slots looking in the same direction. And of course the final check by Avril is a must have 😉❤️👏🏻

I especially love 6:23 typical awesome cat mentality. "Trying to accomplish something? Well you haven't paid any attention to me in like 3 whole minutes" lol I love shop kitty Avril
I've always wanted to do things like this, my whole life. I never knew how to get started. I love creating things with my own hands. This is heaven to me
Just buy something old and rusty and let 'er rip. Start with a rusty hammer for example, something simple. Then de-rust that bitch and make it sexy again
Thanks to watching this channel I've restored 3 wheelbarrows, in the middle of a 4th (weather permitting) and have a 5th one that is from the 50's or 60's that I will eventually get to (barn find). Also I've restored several tools including a hammer that was buried in sand for at least 20 years, 2 other hammers (bit rusty), several old Craftsman wrenches, and a socket that was left in the field (I live on a farm). Just find something that needs repairing and start working on it, you will love the results once you are done.
A wonderful restoration, as always! It was very clever to use the hose as a replacement for the broken plastic ring around the lamp shade! **leaves a can of sardines for Avril**
That is a very unique lamp! I didn't understand what the purpose of the 2 voltage meters was for. Which is ok. I'm not an electrician. You did an excellent job putting the lamp back together. I was happy to see that the paint came off the label. It's just a little detail but it makes the restoration perfect. Avril was watching you very close on this job. Maybe he thinks he can sleep under the light for warmth.
my guess is that it serves no real purpose. i suppose you can confirm the voltage at the line, but it's not so useful to carry around with you. probably just for show
I like your humor. Touching the screw to demonstrate that 24V system is safe, yet you use a long stick to turn on/off the lamp. Beautiful lamp. It deserves to be safe. Beautiful restoration.
Avril is looking extra fluffy, must be cold there? Awesome job! Amazing skills and craftsmanship. Love the character you put into the base with the butterfly joint. A real work of art, sir!
Now I see why you do impeccable work, Avril keeps you iron the straight and narrow with frequent inspections😊 Thanks for the video, nice looking finish product.
So satisfying! That’s more of an objet d’art than an angle poise lamp. A unique piece made all the more interesting with Avril giving it the final inspection. Nothing escapes Avril’s gaze. Best wishes for the New Year! From Ireland du Nord.
I love how this isn’t even a rain specific asmr video, but it’s by far one of the best rain asmr vids I’ve seen in ages! The lamp looks truly amazing. These vids always put my soul to ease
This was realy awsome! I realy love the idea with those old meters and Your attention to deails as the screws, the fabric cover on the wires, etc The woodworking came out realy beautiful as well!
I love the way you reuse everything! All the old pieces of the lamp, an "old" piece of wood. And those amazing skills. And of course, Avril for president!
Superbe réalisation, agréable à regarder, un vrai moment de détente et c'est très appréciable de voir quelqu'un de consciencieux et d'appliqué pour un super résultat :) Bravo !
Great job guys !! I love theses old lights !! Nice touch with the gauges and the wood stand for it very nice !! And I love the green its so fitting !!👍👍
WOW, ''beautiful.'' What a huge undertaking to bring that lamp back to it's glory. I can suspect that chewed the bulk of a solid month providing long days were accompanied....loving time in the shop.
Goodness!! When watching this one cannot help but be impressed with your various skills to be able to restore this lamp. I have been watching another series where explorers go into abandoned homes in which all the furniture is rotting away. Watching your series highlights the criminality of these losses. I am very impressed with how the original paint on this lamp protected it from rust and decay. I am glad you used the original colour.
The original designer needs credit for a design that keeps the wires hidden but not in such a way to where the wires would be getting damaged at the joints when moved, it was genius. Love the restoration, and the base you produced. From the base top repairing, the meters you put on it, to making the exposed new wires looking like they were old cloth covered wires was brilliantly done. I've removed wiring from an old out building we repaired, removing the old fixtures and outlets (American 2 prong ones, no ground wires), and that is exactly how the old cloth covered wires from the 50's looked. Wonderfully done.
Love your videos! Fav part of course is the sandblasting and the clean the parts look, almost like they can't wait for you to give them a new coat of color for the new year! Wow!!!!
Jielde lamps are lovely... such a triumph of design. Great to see this work. You can still get them new, but they are so serviceable and (in my opinion) gain character through wear and age.
Magnifique.....et le summum c'est la beauté des mains du père qui portent sur elles toute une vie de passion du travail manuel.....je revois les mains de mon père avec sa gouge et son maillet quand j'étais petit !!! Ça me boulverse !!!! Bravo pour ce travail magnifique !!!!
A thing of beauty is a joy forever, so said Mary Poppins, and she wasn't wrong. Absolutely stunning result. Wishing LADB Restoration and Avril (of course!) une très bonne année! All the very best for 2022 🐱🐈 From me on the Somerset coast, England, UK
Beautiful restoration, Congratulations. What dilapidation you put in your work. I have seen almost all your videos. I find them very inspirational. Thanks from Valencia - España.
Fantastic job 👏 👍. Watching 👀 is so relaxing, enjoyable, and therapeutic for me. The attention to detail, and being a perfectionist makes it worth watching 👀 👌. And Avril the cat 🐈 of course.
An Excellent job ! The last time I bought an aerosol from Bricolage of that colour it did not dry, I hope you had more luck, I expected to see Avril stuck to the paintwork, Happy Christmas Bruno, and thanks for all the wonderful videos over the past year! Chris B.
