pickle resumes soon! So cool to know you still have a pickle chip! at the end of that project I plan to put pins in a map to show where they were all shipped...I know there are a couple in Japan, Australia, UK, Africa and of course US and Canada...its fun seeing where they all are!

Body shop guy from the '60s here... the "Bondo" back then used asbestos as filler. It's good seeing you wearing a good mask, please be careful with the clothes and other stuff before you take it inside. Don't forget your hair. I'll leave it to you to look it up. Good to see you back.

I truly think it was some kind of wood filler or silicone/rubber sealant ? and given who had it before us that makes sense...I can tell you it turned to rubber when sanded so I don't think it was actual body filler because that will at least sand! As to clothing...most of it went straight into the garbage! ha appreciate the input! I also "double mask" usually by wearing nasal 02 filters WITH the respirator!

Of course I already know that the end result will be great. It is so cool that you're into saving vintage stuff. The trailer is going to be a terrific camper. What are the plans for the squareback...or is it a notch back?? Anxious to see Pickle get some work too. Good stuff and good to see you back again.

thanks, the square I am going to rock it as is, I also got a fastback which will likely be a subaru swab or something similar, body is good, but not a complete engine, pickle will come first tho
