With the basic teardown out of the way in Part 1, we shift our focus to rebuilding the suspension and making it run/drive.
We'll show you what we had to cut and modify to get the front end flat on the ground on 20" wheels, cover the Wilwood disc brake conversion, and show you some of what we did to make this an ALMOST functional vehicle again!
The car has left our hands, and is now down in Texas for lots of rust repair, then body work and paint. All of that trim we pulled last time should be re-chromed and polished in the next month or two, and he's having the interior parts we pulled reupholstered at the same time. So it's on track to hit the road late this summer! I'll post progress pictures on our Instagram @twistedimages , so follow us there if you'd like to keep up on this build.
As always, please feel free to comment on these videos or reach out directly if you have questions about your own project- I make this content to share some of the cool vehicles we get to work on, but also to document the processes involved with installing air suspension. I hope this one makes the job easier on someone else's 58-60 Cadillac project!

Looks great I have an older esab welder they bring the heat. Always wanted to do this to my 59 but have not been able to commit lol

I picked up that ESAB plasma a couple months ago- did a quick cleaning and repaint, and it cuts like butter! Most of what we did on this '59 is reversible- the coil springs could go back in, and everything could be patched back up if someone wanted a stock restored car later. But I get what you're saying!

Interesting caddy looks pretty cool. New sub here please keep us updated on that I would love to see that when its done ✔️. Last yr I acquired a 59. Sometime this yr I want to get the motor redone so It moves on its own power. Then I would love to see if you can work on the suspension and other things on my caddy just like you did on this one. I live in south Texas but I don't mind taking it up there, I believe you said your from OK if I'm not mistaken. It will probably be late this yr or even possibly next year as everything is super expensive on this car lol. So i was wondering How do I get a hold of your shops number - email or something where I can get a hold of you so i can ask questions for when I'm ready. I would really like for you to do my suspension if possible.👍🏻

Nice- getting hard to find ‘59s in any condition these days. Our contact info is on our website www.twistedimages.com - I don’t post my number on here because of the spam bots haha. But definitely feel free to reach out and we can put some plans together! -Phil

We ran Ridetech part number 22169850 up front- shows a compressed height of 9" and extended of 15". For the rear we ran part number 22199850 - 12" compressed and 20" extended. Hope that helps!

Yeah, I think I like the lines of the other one we worked on better, but we'll see how they both look when the bodywork and paint is completed- the right color can help correct the proportions sometimes!
