With the basic teardown out of the way in Part 1, we shift our focus to rebuilding the suspension and making it run/drive.
We'll show you what we had to cut and modify to get the front end flat on the ground on 20" wheels, cover the Wilwood disc brake conversion, and show you some of what we did to make this an ALMOST functional vehicle again!
The car has left our hands, and is now down in Texas for lots of rust repair, then body work and paint. All of that trim we pulled last time should be re-chromed and polished in the next month or two, and he's having the interior parts we pulled reupholstered at the same time. So it's on track to hit the road late this summer! I'll post progress pictures on our Instagram @twistedimages , so follow us there if you'd like to keep up on this build.
As always, please feel free to comment on these videos or reach out directly if you have questions about your own project- I make this content to share some of the cool vehicles we get to work on, but also to document the processes involved with installing air suspension. I hope this one makes the job easier on someone else's 58-60 Cadillac project!
