On "My Car Story" we're in Rosemont IL on 3-9-22 at the World of Wheels Car Show.
We're looking at a 1963 Heinkel Trojan 200 in Red Paint. The car comes with a single cylinder engine, and a 4 speed manual transmission.
The car's Owner is Carlos Sandoval. Carlos has had this car since 2020. Carlos shares he was looking for microcar, and found this rare “Trojan 200”. This car make this unique and rare.

Wow, another great video. There was a barber in my hometown that had one of these cars for a few years when I was a young kid. I remember seeing the car in the shopping center parking lot with the door in the front of the car. Now I know a bit more about it.

This has features that I think give it an edge over the Isetta. Nicer faired-in headlights, a bit roomier with occasional rear seat and easier engine access. Thanks for showing it.

Very common when new, made by Trojan in South London. A BMW version of these cars was used in the 1960’s to smuggle people hidden in the car, from East to West Berlin. But that’s another story.

lol, an escape hatch I've been told that 3 wheeled vehicles, whether they look like a car (as this does) or a motorcycle (as Can Am three wheelers do), are classified as autocycles. Perhaps only true in the United States, idk

Lou, when I thinks of “Henkel”, one thinks of the plane manufacturer of Nazi Germany. Is this a German car made by the remnants of that company or another Heinkel? Kind of weird BUT cool car!

@@loucostabile Lou, do you know if it was the same company? Mercedes made engines for BF-109 fighter and BMW made one of the best radial engines, the 801, that was in the German Folke-Wulf 190 fighter. Neither company talks much of their past…..
