I was at this race with my dad and best friend and have the ticket badges still to this day. Bardahl was my favorite and Such Crust was a 2 engine Alison beast I went on and raced in the nationals in 1986
What a cool memory. I grew up on the Columbia River and absolutely loved watching these boats run with the big WWII aircraft engines. I took a ride in Miss Wahoo on Lake Chelan about 15 years ago. They didn't run full speed but we hit about 120mph on the straight and went about 100mph in the corner and I got to steer it through one of the corners.
