I used a step bit from either side to drill the 5/8 holes…much easier on the wrists

I think you’re supposed to drill the center pilot hole through the side with the template and then come at it from the other side with the hole saw. You don’t need to cut a hole in the template. A good video regardless!

Yeah I didn’t realize it until after I made the video. I almost deleted it but I just decided to leave it up. It didn’t come with instructions.

@@danshindell7931 thanks. 4 1/8” Make sure you have a drill that can handle it. This was my least favorite part of the whole project

You should've made the small pilot holewith the template on, then removed tour template to save it for the other side.

Yeah I didn’t realize my mistake until I started editing the video and realized what I did wrong.

Thanks for the detail in everything you've done to the truck, looks great! Who makes the Exhaust Cut-Out Kit?

Wow, the frame really did come out great! How many spray cans did you use on that rear part of the frame?
@Chickeneyegarage
@Chickeneyegarage 2 года назад
I can’t remember. At least 5 or 6 cans.

Stripping disc for a grinder and various wire wheels. I'm cleaning up the rear end right now so I'll show the viewers what I use on the next video.

Next time use the template to cut from the other side, then you wont loose the template.

I didn’t realize that until later on and after I uploaded the video. Sometimes I learn the hard way

Great videos. We all learn through school of hard knocks. I am in the middle of a 66 step side. Finally starting to go back together.
