The clutch fork is in the way of going over the transmission crossmember on the driver side. At the time I didn’t want to under the crossmember and then back up to utilize the exhaust cutout so I just went below everything on both sides.
Sounds great. Which Flow Master did you install. I'm looking forward to installing some 40s on my 62 Fleetside Shortbed Big back window. Thanks Trucker Ray ✝️
On the driver side I can’t get the exhaust pipe above the transmission crossmember because of the clutch fork. So until I figure that part out I just redid the exhaust like before for simplicity. I want to keep it standard so I might do an hydraulic throw out bearing to get rid of the fork and then I can route the exhaust higher
@@Chickeneyegarage I am swapping my old 283 for a ZZ4, and have everything apart right now. I did the cutouts already, but haven't put the new motor in or any exhaust yet. I am automatic, so maybe I'll be clear.
@@swrmerle you should have no issues. My 1970 I use to have was an automatic and I had plenty of clearance to raise the exhaust. I had to get rid of the long tube headers and go to mid length. Other than that, no issues.
