I are getting ready to make the Ole Man's 1968 Ford F150 "Ole Red" up and running again. We need to freshen up with Ford 360fe engine. It is going to gone through, timing chain, gears, oil pump, water pump, and a new paint job. Will we be able to get this engine ready to be installed into the truck. Will the Ole Man find the oven cleaner in his garage or just another snake? Will we have fun or will this be a work a futility. What do you think of the finished product? Whenever using engine stands such as these, there are 2 things you wanna make sure of period one is to take a block of wood and set it between the upright and the back of the motor just below the mountain plate. The 2nd is to take a piece of 2 by 4 with the 2 by 6 on the very bottom and lift up the front of the engine that way it will always stay level while it is on the engine stand. It will save a lot of aggravation and stress.

My mom loved ole Bill also. when he won his first championship my mom and stepdad drove to GA to his shop. They are both gone now but good memories remain. That was when winston cup was darn good not anymore.

Hitting that front pulley with the ratchet reminds me of the old saying of two "good ole boys" working on a car. One is under the car and says to the other standing next to the car, "Hand me a wrench would ya?" and the other says "What size", and the good ole boy under the car says, "Don"t much matter, gonna use it as a hammer anyhow".

BTW Rev, My College Girl and I made it through a 100 mile blizzard drive in WV out of the high mountains with walkie talkies and Her driving Her Ford Escort 2WD.. I was in a Mazda 323 2wd, We talked and I broke trail, It was exciting! 5 Mountain passes!

Hey Rev. You all should put an Aluminum Intake on that 360!!! I think it's the same as a 390 Intake ,It will save you about 75 pounds of weight off the front of the truck!!!

I used JB Kwik weld on an irrigation back flow valve and there is a lot of water pressure behind it and the valve had cracked in one place during the winter i used JB weld to seal it and it works fine so i am sure the jb weld will work on that engine block. Thanks for sharing your unique way of rebuilding an engine.

Very hard to warm up the cast iron block so the weld rod will flow into it. Heat the block with a torch gives you a better change using the mig welder

Love the f250. I just detailed the engine and the compartment on my 70 F250 with a 360,so this is fun to watch for me. That J B Weld can fix a lot of stuff. Fixed an A/C line one time with it and when I got rid of the car it was still working.

Good lookin engine guys! Hope your mother is healing and on the mend. On july 9th 1999 I found out exactly what happens when you step on a copperhead 😖 generally fairly docile, but trust me when I tell ya, they mean business when they get ya. Cool i like that truck course that is probably because when I was in highschool and had my 74 Chevy C10 Cheyenne super longbed 2wd truck my dad's daily driver looked almost just like 69 f250 his was a 70f250 ranger custom,360fe motorcraft auto lite 2bbl Borg Warner granny gear 4spd from a 1 1/4 ton stake body ford 73 truck

I've expedited 5 Copper Heads around my house in the past 3 years.. We have a creek in the back yard and the snakes come. I only expedite the poisonous ones !! I keep the good ones. Especially the King Snakes and Black Snakes.. HooAH ?

Pastor, there's a crack In the block r running from where you mount the oil pan up the block to the hole that you welded. I can see it in the video. Go back and check the video out.

I hope not.. the whole was a casting void and it was repaired with jb weld.. nothing came through with power washing except the whole.. we will find out soon enough..

An 8 bolt lug wheel means it is a real truck. 1 ton. or 3/4 ton. Ew that is definatly a copper head. poisinous. Big one for sure. My 360 was blue on my 76 Ford F100 dang good truck an engine. I hope you put the headers on it. Mine just had stock manifolds. It looks really nice. I like the black with the blue. I hope it runs as good as it looks.
