I was stood right behind it as it left the start line - it was unforgettable...and it managed 125mph through the trap if i remember rightly. I think there was also a mclaren m6gt there that day....total car porn!
You're correct about the McLaren, I remember seeing it close up in the paddock. Absolutely stunning car. I'll never forget it had a rose jointed bonnet stay. Talk about over engineered.
Yes I was there. An awesome car and driver combination. The noise was also awesome. I must now search RU-vid for Graeme Wight Jnr's Predator to compare the noise. Don't you just love Shelsley?
