I've said it before, and it's true, I'm a sucker for old, rusty pickups. When I saw this 1973 Ford F350 Super Camper Special pop up on Facebook Marketplace, it intrigued me, but I wasn't looking for another project. The ad went away, and then a few months later I saw the same ad pop back up. I thought it was calling for me, so I inquired and went to look at it. The guy who was selling it said it was on a farm and was going to be scrapped, so he picked it up, but he didn't have the time or energy to actually get it back on the road. It's definitely an East Coast truck that had been sitting outside for a good portion of its life, but something about it looked just right. I made a deal and brought it home.
Now comes the fun part, getting this thing back on the road. This video simply shows what the truck looked like when I bought it, minus some of the garbage that was in the can and in the bed. We'll post updates as we work our way through, and around, this truck, and will hopefully have it on the road soon. The kiddos are vey excited about it too, so hopefully we'll get them down in the garage and getting their hands dirty on it!
