1982 Commodore PET/CBM model 8032 dead: PSU repair 

This short video shows a common cause and fix for a Commodore PET that has no power.
The factory fitted filter device on these computers are known for going bad after many years. The filter can fail in such a way that it interrupts the incoming mains supply. Fortunatly this filter can be bypassed to quickly get the power supply in this machine up and running again.
The main reason for this filter originally being fitted, was EMI/RFI suppression. It was a requirement when this machine was designed.
