It is definitely not Argentine folk music. It sounds like Spanish flamenco. It doesn't even compare. And the facts shown in the video are not accurate either. The exocet hit the Invincible and of the 4 A4s that made the attack run, two were shot down and two dropped their bombs on the carrier.

Fun fact: Argentina had only 5 EXOCET missiles and actually use them very wisely by inflicting UK Navy huge casualties. One of the UK's Generals said: If Argentina had about 30 of them, they actually could win the war.

I was part of 801 Sqdn on HMS Invincible throughout the Falklands War in 1982. I can tell you that Invincible was attacked twice by Exocet, the first time we deployed our Chaff the missile lost its lock on the ship, it then locked on to Atlantic Conveyor which was hit The second attack which was in your simulation the Exocet didn’t hit any ship, two of the Skyhawks were shot down a third hit the water and the fourth escaped From intelligence information the Argentinians only had five Exocets. The Argentinians had a RADAR near Port Stanley which was picking up the SHAR aircraft in ingressing and egressing from the two carriers. Attempts were made to take it out using the Shrike missile from a Vulcan Bomber as part of the Black Buck missions but they were not successful in taking the RADAR out.
@richardvernon317
@richardvernon317 2 года назад
Missile was fired at Avenger and decoyed by Chaff , Exeter popped two Skyhawks with Sea Dart for three missiles fired, Skyhawks bombed Avenger and missed. They then overflew Exeter who held fire on the other two as they were on the way home and the ship was down to 7 Sea Darts in her magazine (909's had a lock all the way out). Two 801 cabs flown by Morts and Charile Cantan attempted to intercept them, but Morts was running out of fuel (he was returning from a CAP) and they outran Cantan. Invincible was around 20 miles away. Had either the Sea Harriers or Exeter popped the other two Skyhawks, the Invincible was hit myth would never have been born. The TPS-43F radar at Stanley was damaged by both Shrikes fired at it on the first Black Buck ARM attack that got down there, one missile damaged the waveguide assembly on the Antenna while the other damaged the cables between the Antenna Trailer and the rest of the radar convoy. It did take the radar out for around 24 hours until spares were flown out from the mainland. I've actually been in that radar while its been working after the RAF bought it back to the UK and put it into service as the Radar Type 99.

@@searchtron7601 I wouldn't say misinformation, there's a lot of mistery surrounding the conflict as there are very different accounts from various sources with contradictory claims. So far GR has been doing great justice to both sides involved in my opinion, of course there are a few unnacuracies but so far i've been enjoying these. I have never seen these types of videos before. They are very well done and interesting. I was 24 years of age when The Falklands war started and lived in London. My girlfriend and I watched the evenings news every night to follow the progress of the war. It was harrowing and distressing. When it was announced HMS Invincible was returning to Portsmouth we drove from London at 5am and parked on Southsea seafront with thousands of other brits, waving flags. HMS Invisible sailed into Portsmouth on a beautiful summers day. We drove into Portsmouth and walked past the Police lines jnto the docks. There in front of us was was HMS Invincible. We were surrounded by thousands of well wishers with the band playing. The atmosphere was incredible. I saw that people were walking up the gangplank towards the officers only entrance. The ladies were dressed in beautiful dresses to be greeted by their husbands on board. My girlfriend and I joined the queue! In no time we were on board HMS Invincible. We went up some steps and we were up on the flight deck, waving back to the thousands still down on the dock. We were then approached by a man in uniform. I shook his hand and told him how proud we were of him. He was a Harrier Pilot. He looked at my attractive girlfriend and offerred to show us his Sea Harrier. We were shown around the flight deck, the ships bell and the rapid huge lift inside Invincible. We drove home to London. That evening we watched the 10 o'clock news . HM The Queen was shown around the flight deck, the ships bell and the huge lift. My girlfriend was laughing that she had already done the tour. It was a very emotional and memorable day. 41 years later she is sitting next to me. We are watching the news of the conflict in Israel. These videos are truly excellent and bring back so many memories. We did not have this technology then. Life has moved on.... Pete and Carol ❤

@@Andres-yc7cy the british antarctic territroy stems from 1908 argentina claimed theres in the 1940's alongside chile. As for your rediculous claim about them being as Argentine as Hong Kong is Chinese have you heard of the hong kong man? This is the name given to Hong Kong nationalists who don't want to be seen as Chinese and given the protests they clearly wish to keep it that way. Also the Falkland islands were discovered and settled by the british before argentina was a country so how exactly are they argentine? They were first claimed after argentina appointed a govener after you went behind our backs when we said you could set up private ventuers there other than that you have no claim apart from the 600 year old spanish claim which means nothing to britain because we were a protestant nation long before that treaty was signed and it has never affected us

AN/APG-53a radar allowed A4 to be patrially all weather capable, but when USA allowed the sale of the A4C to Argentinean air force didn't want them to have that capability, so they never allowed spares to be sold. After a few years no Argentinean A4C had their radar working, so Argentine Air Force replaced it with a TACAN Navigation system, the same one already installed in A4B... So at the end, Argentine A4C were more equal to A4B than to A4E modded in DCS. Keep that in mind for next Malvinas/Falklands vids, in which A4 pilots shouldn't be allowed to work with radar ON

Geez Cap.... the Super Endendards launched at the biggest radar blip they could see - they thought it was Invincible - it wasn't. Lots of claims that she was hit/damaged/Sunk all of which are complete rubbish - there's no way she could have been repaired before returning home, plus you're talking about a ship with hundreds of people on it, you couldn't keep it secret for 30 years (and why would you want to?). From a DCS point of view - wish I had your skill at slotting into refuel (though you shouldn't have given any radio chat at all - the attacks were done with radio silence). (For the record - Exocets hit Sheffield, the Atlantic Conveyor - the major success and only non-escort ship hit and Glamorgan). People make alot of fuss about how long Invincible stayed out in the South Atlantic arguing that no ship stays out that long - well plenty have and she needed to as she needed to wait for Illustrious be finished and get down to relieve her. (Also you used the wrong version of Invicible - without the Sea Dart).

maybe it was not sunk, maybe just put out of comission... the facts are that the skyhawk planes followed the missile all the way to the target and the surviving pilot accounts... invincible was the last ship to arrive to england, the british govt admitted it had to replace (fix) its engines etc... if the Argentine pilots did not hit invincible, what did they hit? (atlantic conveyor was already under water by then) Also, keep in mind that england has chosen not to release an official account on what happened during the war for 100 years.

Pretty realistic for the Exocet. The SM-1 on the FFG had a 36% chance of shooting down an Exocet. As far as the A-4, I doubt it would have dodged the SAM or 76mm gun.

As much as I hate the Argentinian military Junta at the time, the Argentinian pilots were as brave and skillfull as any other elite fighter pilot in the world. The Argentinian pilots paid a terrible price for their victories though. They would have sunk even more ships if their 'iron bombs' had better fuses. Many hit their targets but failed to explode as the Argentinian pilots ran the gauntlet of British anti-air batteries and missiles.

A dramatisation of the Argentine propaganda story, but despite nice graphics (and a little unrealistic A4 flying) the truth remains that there was no attack on HMS Invincible. The May 30th attack flew into HMS Avenger and Exeter. The AM39 Exocet was decoyed with chaff from Avenger's Corvus launchers, and fell into the sea at 17.36 exactly, off the port stern of Avenger. HMS Exeter fired three Sea Dart missiles. One hit Argentine pilot Daniel Vazquez. The other planes went dangerously low to avoid the sea Darts, and pilot Omar Jesus Castillo dropped his bombs just off the port bow of HMS Avenger, with one skipping back up off the sea and striking his aircraft, plunging it into the water. The final two pilots, Ernesto Ureta and Gerardo Isaac missed too... Ureta dropped too soon off the starboard bow, Isaac overshot Avenger down the port side and ditched his bombs in the sea. HMS Exeter let them go as they were now harmless, and Exeter had just seven missiles left in her magazines. The pilots returned and the junta cooked up the story that they had sunk HMS Invincible as it needed a propaganda story to cover the loss of Goose Green, which they hadn't yet announced to the Argentine public.

I have told you fraudsters a million times what to do and how to do it if you wish to be taken seriously, but you won't, because you will have to tell the truth: HMS Invincible wasn't attacked or hit. You constantly warble on about "The truth" but all evidence and outright proof shows that this fairy tale never happened, yet you ignore all of the inconvenient evidence, then you call that "truth"?? History is based on evidence, not subjectivity or wishful thinking. You cannot do any justice to history by ignoring the bits you don't like because they disprove you. That is called letting your ego get in the way, and it is your entire working method. Until you can come up with a robust - who, what, how, where, when, why - end to end theory, you have only a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a guess. You guys don't even know the difference between a hypothesis and a theory, and these are basic building blocks of history. You are neophytes here. Clumsy amateurs. It shows when you block serious historians, even Argentine historians, from your pages on Facebook page because they debunk your nonsense. If you had a robust theory, they couldn't do that, but you don't have one, because no credible theory can exist where this is a possibility, much less a likelihood. Awesome video man. thanks to make it! heres more information from the Argentinian pilots of the A-4s. sorry for the translate.... The operation was launched from the Rio Grande BAM on May 30 at 12:43 p.m. Two Super Étendard aircraft, of the naval aviation, manned by Lieutenant Commander Francisco and Lieutenant Colavino, with callsign "Ala" and four A4-C Skyhawk fighter-bombers of the Air Force (Zeus Squadron), manned by the first lieutenants Castillo, Vázquez and Ureta and by Ensign Isaac. Once refueled in flight on the high seas, some 350 kilometers southeast of our Falkland Islands, they began to descend to complete the last low-lying section of approach and attack on the Invincible aircraft carrier, which at that time was orbiting some 200 nautical miles to the east from Puerto Argentino. Once the Exocet was fired, it would have hit the base of the command tower, the four A4-Cs were launched converging almost in line. In the wake of the missile they saw a plume of smoke on the horizon. Near the target, a missile hit the plane of the squadron leader, Vázquez, the aircraft split in two and crashed into the sea. Five seconds before the bombs were dropped, the ship's artillery hit number 2, Castillo, whose plane exploded instantly. The two remaining aircraft, Ureta and Isaac, reached the target that was already covered in smoke and dropped their bombs on the deck. After the attack, they refueled in flight supported by two KC-130 Hercules aircraft and headed for the Río Grande Military Air Base. The entire operation lasted almost 4 hours and is considered, to this day, one of the most risky and audacious of its kind since World War II. The British government has included this fact in the "War Secrets Act", therefore no British subject will be able to give information about it for another 80 years, under penalty of serious penalties. Its analysts do not deny that the operation was carried out, but they reserve the identification of the attacked ship. The 4 Air Force pilots received the "Cruz La Nación Argentina al Heroico Valor en Combate", the highest distinction awarded by our country. Source: "Air battle of our Falkland Islands", Commodore Pio Matassi / "Aviation Argentina" in the art of Exequiel Martínez. And heres the original text in spanish.
