This was NBC'S theme from 1983-88. It would be cool to bring it back in a segment of the Sunday Night Football telecast.

Don Criqui and Bob Trumpy were great together. It's a shame that Trumpy was promoted to lead analyst in the early 1990s.

I'd say this was the Chief's best victory for the 1988 season.

Side story on this game: Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt had a mystery guest at the game who turned out to be Carl Peterson. After the Chiefs 1988 campaign came to a close, Peterson was hired, the housecleaning began, and Marty Schottenheimer was hired as head coach. The Chiefs run to the NFL's best record in the 1990's began at this game.
