In today's video, we take a look at this poorly Numatic George 3 in 1 Carpet Cleaner. We have a few jobs to do to this, but the first one is to strip it down and check various bits work!

Nice video! I do not like how the water line connects to the spray head, it sits too low and gets in the way when extracting inside of cars. Is there anyway to switch to an aftermarket spray head?

I have the same problem. Nearly brand new and only used 10 times in 5 years. Pump switch does nothing. Vacuum switch functions but needs a real hard push to make it work.

Hi, got a George had it over 6 years, used 3 times. Hoover works fine, turn the water switch on, nothing. Anything you could advise me on. Many thanks

Question if you don't mind, since you obviously know your stuff. I have a George and I have a Henry. I much prefer using the Henry as it's far quieter than George and the cable reel is much more practical. However when I do wet work (not carpet cleaning) I need George. From what I can see the basic system for the motor is the same on both, the only difference being the bucket size and wet filter used in George. Is there any reason I can't put the Henry head on the George bucket and have a quieter wet vac?

The motor in George can take getting wet, the henry motor can't. Physically there's zero difference at all, but if you get it wrong the best you'll get is a big bang and a dead henry...

The little black dust bag sleeve in the bucket, where the dust bags slide onto, can i glue that in place? It keeps coming off when im vacuuming and the dust gets sucked out of the bag inside all over the motor filter... Very annoying.

erm would it not br easier/better to use a henry motor head as an exchange?

Probably easier, but Where's the fun in that! Not every day you come across a 1992 Charles that sounds as good as new with its original motor!
