Perfect, just replaced my dashboard lights with green LEDs on my 1998 Ford Expedition. Your video was exactly what I needed. Better than any manual or step by step instructions. Well done sir.

That green colour looks... Weird... Blue is a Great color choice! Looks elegant, and soothing. I think you did a great job!

You chewed up the paint around your headlight switch. There is an easy no pry way to take that out. It involves removing the headlight switch twist knob, and reversing it to go back on and twisting the headlights to the "on" position. This method catches a little tog underneath the twist knob and releases a lock tab that holds the headlight switch assembly in place. No prying needed. :-)

Great job. I'm going to do this to my Expedition. I don't like the green light it's dull.

There is a trick for removing the light switch. Pull the knob off rotate it 180 degrees re install it then turn it 90 degrees clockwise. You will feel some spring tension from the catch. This retracts the catch on the left side and gently remove the left side and rotate it out.This allows the assembly to come out with out a lot of prying and no danger of scratching or cracking the dash cover. . It will then snap into place when you are done. Put the knob back also.

Anyone thinking of doing this on a vehicle this old should include checking the heater core. It's a $50 part that cost over $1000 in labor to get to and replace (behind the glove box area).

LED BULBS ARE POLARITY SENSITIVE. THEY ARE NOT MARKED POS. OR NEG. IF THEY DONT WORK ONE WAY PULL THEM OUT AND ROTATE 180 DEG. RE-INSERT

is there a difference on which socket requires a t5 or t10 bulb? Trying to research it but no luck. Just a little confused on that part because i dont wanna order a just t10 just to find out i need a t5 for other sockets.

Thank you for the informative video! It shows what the dash can look like after the upgrade. It got me started on my quest to replace my burned-out dash lights and upgrade the look of my dashboard. But I ran into a snag. I used your links to buy the T-10 194 LED bulbs. Imagine my surprise when I tore down my dashboard to access the dashlights and discovered that your eBay site sent me the totally wrong replacement bulbs. I'm not going to bother cotnacting the ebay site to complain for a refund or exchange. Instead I had also looked at the channel for Living On Wheels and ordered the 194 bulbs from his link to an Amazon supplier. Bad suppliers are NOT your fault and YT channels that list supplier links are always helpful. It just didnt work out well in this case is all.

On a side note for those who remove air bags there's a wire that you cut so the check suspension won't turn on. It's good for resale when the new owner for whatever reason wants to go back to air bags

What size are the bulbs???? And how many . I just need to replace the speedometer and rpm

attempted this process today, unfortunately I did not realize the bulbs I ordered were 'ice blue' rather than just blue, so there is a fair amount of white light being emitted.. with the green tint that is painted on the dials it still looks just about as green as with the factory bulbs. I ordered the correct bulbs but I fear I may have to use acetone to remove the green tint on the dials to get the desired appearance. Will be giving it another shot when the new bulbs arrive in a few days.

How many LED's are required for the Illumination only for back ground illumination in the trucks instrument cluster? I bought a pack of ten. AND can you tell us which way is pos. and which is neg. so that we don't have to do trial and error? I have researched and have seen that the small internal tab in the diode is positive and large is negative. But witch is witch in the connector? White dot Positive?

What tools or extensions did you use when removing the screws holding the cluster? Did you remove the green film from the casing to make the bulbs seem brighter? If so, how was that done. Any recommendations on what grit sandpaper would be best not to damage it? Thanks!

I did mine turned out looking really good the only thing is now how do you change out the light bulbs in the climate control switches for the rear AC that are located on the roof of the also how do you change out the colors on the door lock and window switches to match

I have a 2000 Ford F-150. I am replacing the instrument cluster lights with blue T-5 LED bulbs. The T-5 LED bulbs are polarity. When I install a LED bulb in the high beam indicator, I only get the LED to light up when I pull back on the left side turn-signal stalk or lever. When I push the stalk forward toward the dash so that the high beams are on all of the time and also for the high beam indicator light bulb to stay on all the time, I get no LED light at all. When I reverse the LED bulb polarity, I get no high beam indicator light at all in either direction. Does your T-5 LED bulb for your high beam indicator light up in both directions, forward for full time high beam or reverse (towards you) just to flash oncoming cars to warn them of a cop up ahead or whatever? I'm thinking I may have to use an LED bulb that is non-polarity, works in both directions like the factory original bulbs. But I do not see for sell on Amazon or EBay to where you can buy only one LED T-5 bulb that is non-polarity. Let me know on your truck if your high beam indicator light works in both directions (forward and aft or reverse). Thank You!!

My 2001 Eddie Bauer Expedition has green as the illumination..green mileage, green overhead mileage console, green everywhere.....HATE IT!! What about the lamps in the radio, and the Automatic Electric Temperature Control Module under the radio?

Thank you for sharing this! I have tried this before, but could never find the right socket to fit my specific board... What size, type or number socket did you purchase; did they require any modification? I did find some smaller bulbs. But my lights are STILL green!!!

Did you have to upgrade anything for the dash to run the led lights? I put mine in and when I turn on my highbeams the dash goes black but the highbeams turn on. I turn them off and the dash goes back to normal

Before you post 97-02 expedition do your homework. After watching this video i decide to order the leds in your link and take the whole dash part just to find you my 01 expedition cluster is different from yours the T10s wont fit and the lights on the T5s arent strong enough to illuminate properly

I have a 99 Exp. 5.4 I cannot get it smogged, the car will not clear the monitors, 4 or 5 blinking lights, 500 miles later I still cannot get it smogged, it will pass smog but not official until it clears the monitors, any ideas? PS I have 79K miles on it.

I have a 2003 F-150 Lariat Supercrew with the digital odometer will this work or do i need a specific size led bulbs? I plan on going with red.

You did not spicificly say how many of which size bulbs are needed. This is important when buying them.
