It is funny, but when you rewatch it a couple of times, you can see a lot of themes just to be copied from other sitcoms, most often Friends...well maybe Friends had been copied from others as well
this is super late but the there are estimates of failure rate caused by using them in the wrong way, for example having it past it's expiration date, damaging it and not putting it on properly.
Have a cousin who did it with his girlfriend once wearing *TWO* condoms simply because he was scared. Afterwards they felt so awkward that they didn't try again until 2 months later when she said was late. Demanded a blood test and dun dun, he was the father. Now is a happy father but just saying, condoms sadly don't always work...
As a Life Orientation teacher (as you would call Social Studies I'm the USA, I think), one of the children asked me this very question: would two condoms make it doubly secure/effective against pregnancy. I did some research and the friction between the two condoms actually makes them much less effective as they tend to break due to the excessive friction caused. Also, we were taught that condoms are only 80 to 85% effective, at best.
I've heard two rubbers with Deep Heat in between is effective, especially effective if you're sleeping with hookers. If it breaks one of you is going to know about it. (don't try this as Deep Heat may disintegrate the condom)
