Mine personal hair growth success, I stuck to this daily regimen: Take early morning sunlight every day for vitamin D. Consume vegetables of different colors. Using paraben-free and fragrance free shampoo and gently massaging twice a week with hair oil from litttleextra's cocooonion oil. Important to keep in mind that hair growth is affected by overall health as well as circulation and nutrition.

I accidentally grew my hair to waist length while living abroad cuz I had access to so few natural products! I would just spray my hair with conditioner diluted in water every morning, brush down my fly-always, and twist it into a bun. Low manipulation for the win!

Some time straight hair looks linger, and cos of next length , head size, body size. What anyone sees or not. Hair grows, what ever colour or length, some some not. It's not really rocket science.

low manipulation and continuation of moisture, sure It makes sense! I was curly natural since 2003, mid-back length until dec 2019 when I cut it super short. I just relaxed with Phytospecific I used to use in before. It was constant shedding. I am starting over:)

As a relaxed girl I incorporate a lot of your natural hair advice. I relax twice a year, I use only a hooded dryer twice a month and my hair stays up in a wrap most of the time. I have had over six inches in length that I was able to retain in the last year. Not gonna lie having nowhere to go really helped keep the manipulation down but with RONNA in the streets I started paying attention to my hair again and I am so much better for it.

@@krisb6987 ceecee's closet have amazing headwraps and many patterns to choose from. Some have satin on the inside as well and I own 2 headwraps from ceecee's closet (without the satin though) and so far they still look and feel amazing after 4 and half years, so you can consider them if they're within your budget and live in the U.S (shipping cost). I also follow @grassfield on instagram they SEEM great as well I have never purchased from them that's why I emphasize the "seem". Or what I personally do, just go to a fabric store and I ask for 1.70 meter and ask the seller to split it in half on the other side which usually is 1.10 meter and I just end up with 2 pieces of 1.70 x 0.55 meter of fabric. ( I ask for this particular measurement because I have a decent amount of hair, bra stap length and because of the humidity hello frizz and volume + I do know several ways to tie the wrap up and ceecee's headwraps are pretty much this size ) It's cheaper for me as I live in the Lesser Antilles and gives me a wider range of fabric to choose from since the stores are not specialized in WAX fabric itself. Hope all this reading have helped you in anyway or form 😅

I was in a hair plateau for almost 3 years!! Wearing my hair braided (mini braids/plats) with no added hair was definetly the key for my hair growth. And also, i wet my hair everyday in the shower (with the braids/plats) and then seal the moisture with shea butter. Also, i massage my scalp every night or 2 nights with my oil mixture, also deep condition my hair every week while in braids. I take my braids down every month and redo it again. When i wwar my hair out its usually stretched in a blow out state so it wont tangle and be bouncie

Along with a consistent ayurvedic regimen, plaiting (braiding) my hair after moisturising and then wrapping the ends in cling film (saran wrap) before placing in a bun and/or headscarf has really helped me to retain more length - the cling film is a game changer as it stops my ends from moving and intertwining with each other, resulting in a huge reduction in single-strand knots! I took the idea from how some people do their chebe challenge :)

I think being a product junkie has been my number one problem when it comes to length retention. Swapping products out all the time cannot be a good thing. Many of them are not good for my hair. Been a junkie for YEARS. I'm finally starting to reel it in. Using grease helps a lot because I don't feel like I need to pile a ton of products on my head. I'm hoping to stay consistent with just 4 products (shampoo, conditioner, leave in, grease) so I can get some good retention this year.

My length retention is getting better. One thing that really helped me, believe it or not, is trims. I don't trim on a schedule, but getting rid of those splits was huge for me. I've been natural for about 3 1/2 years. My hair is bra strap length. I started with a serious big chop... Very close to my scalp. I was doing my own janky trims but when I got it professionally trimmed, it took off.

Yep. Getting regular trims really helped me too. I transitioned from relaxed to natural gradually in 2016. First I trimmed every 6 weeks, then 8 weeks and now I've been able to push it to every 12 weeks. No more than a quarter of an inch each time. Started with shoulder length hair and now it's bra strap length. Plus washing and deep conditioning once a week, my own diy oil treatment, minimal heat and low manipulation. 🙂

Pre-pooing has helped me the most and moisturizing and oiling my hair once or twice a week. I also noticed that using distilled water instead of hard city helps alot in my moisturizing. Also when i oil i massage just a little tip.

Okay where have you been all my hair youtube video watching life? You are the bomb. Nonsense and misinformation pervade the internet. But you are the real deal. I big chopped a little over a year ago (down to 1/2 - 1 inch) and have recently begun to think that my hair is starting to take too much time again. You and your hair are totally inspiring and I think I'll continue to grow it out. I use carrot root oil from Anita Grant (love all her products) to which I'm going to add some rosemary essential oil for the terpenes and return to nightly massage with that. Really need a protective style. Thanks and keep it up.

@@swisdom9117 I use a scalp clarifying shampoo on my scalp and wash it by massaging it in then rinsing it off after a minute or so. This ensures that the product has removed all the dirt that clogged my scalp pores and disintegrate any other buildup in my hair.

Your the real deal because I think I just learned this in the pandemic-just have a routine that involves moisturizing your hair. Styling is separate. Love and embrace what God gave you and length will come. Pulling and tugging ain’t where it’s at!

I was at bra strap length for a long time. During quarantine, I kept my hair in twists or a bun and massaged my scalp a few times a week. I washed my hair about every 2 weeks, and added jojoba oil followed by shea butter to coat my strands before re-twisting. I also have satin sheets, since I'm inconsistent with my headscarf. My hair is now a few cm above my butt when stretched. I'm kinda at a plateau now, though. I hope it still has some potential left

For the past year of doing this my hair is stronger. I wear a wig but I take good care my hair. I also listen to you about haircare. Thank you for your help.

Prepoo with aloe juice and water, Ayurvedic hair care regimen, butters infused with honey, supplements, water, and protective styling. Hit waist length in 5 years relaxed, cut it off like not even an inch of hair in 4.5 years natural reached almost tailbone length, chopped it to shoulder length in October 2020 and now between full bsl and mid back length this May.

1. Moisturize your hair multiple times a week. 2. Use protein treatments as needed. 3. Do not comb your hair when you are mad, tired or in a rush. 4. Be consistent with your regiment and make necessary changes as needed. 5. Focus on the health of your hair. Quality over quantity...the length will come.

@@demi5378 ohhh that’s great! What type of products do you use? I’m running out of hairstyles ideas as well... any tips on that? I’m also low porosity, I think I’m medium strand/density. Favorites products I like to use so far (they change very often lol) are the melanin hair care line- leave in conditioner, the styling cream & the pure oil blend. I didn’t think I was going to love the styling cream since I thought it would be for “twisting” hairstyle BUT surprisingly it works great for my wash n go.

I'm glad you mentioned length retention. A lot of ladies desperately search for ways to stimulate growth from the scalp when most of the time the problem is breakage. Protective styling/low manipulation has helped with length retention although I was never concerned with having long hair, I'm relaxed and I like pixies, bobs, color and different hairstyles which do not allow for the best length retention. My new goal is long hair though just to see how long I can get it but I just don't know if I can go 3 years without a haircut loool

Have you tried ROO? Rinse Out Oil Method? Where you put an oil on after washing, then either rinse that out and then put on a conditioner or put a conditioner right on top of the oil? It helps retain moisture much longer. Just a suggestion.

You asked, so I rarely comb or brush my hair. I'm lucky I can get out of bed, shake it around and go! It was waist length so I donated most of it. It's at my shoulders now. I recently decided to stop highlighting and go natural. We'll see. But I never blow dry. My hairdresser always makes me pull away because it's too hot! I'm giving her up, too. I love loose bedraggled hair so I let my hair do it's own thing. Humid days are a pain so a loose scrunchy bun is my jam! Thanks for asking and this video!!
