I know you love Detroit grooming. With me having a curlier beard also. The wax actually makes my beard bunch up more of I don’t wash it more often as it got longer. I usually stick to one or two days but wash it right after

Damn! Sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you don't have that issue on this go around. Go as long as you're comfortable with. If you feel like you look extra crazy, shape it up! Personally, I saw where my follicles were pretty strong after a few weeks. I established a line then. I tend to let my beard get a little more wild as it gets longer because of contrast. My hair is pretty dark, so the new growth doesn't really show.

I think we as black men be having the same insecurities about our beards. My beard grows like yours but not the same coverage. I want 2 start over sometimes for the same reasons but I don't wanna wait the months it takes 4 it 2 get thick again. I just accept what I can grow & where's it at now
