You didn't mention how curious it was that at the end of the movie, the Human base that Mae returned to was right out in the open, not fortified nor hidden nor underground and that a Woman from the Human base came out in an Oxygen suit while Mae did not require one. Those two things would have been good to have mentioned and to theorize about. Perhaps Mae is immune to the virus whereas other surviving Humans are not yet immune , no cure yet?
