This version feels so intense. The album version is like a ballad while this sounds like a descent into madness. The "Such impossible bliss" repeating has a totally different feel.

Alright, who put White Ball in the same glass as The Mind Electric? They've mixed and it's really funky.

This is like an opposite the mind electric!! This song started glitchy and got calmer and the mind electric was finished extremely electronic and glitchy, hehe

I really like this version. it lacks the polish but I like the twitchy glitchiness of it. has a lot of charm.

This gives me the exact opposite vibe as the album version. I think it's great, it's the other side of the coin.

For those who are wondering, I believe the glitching is from Joe having to substitute the female voices with a pitch and formant shifted version of his own voice in this take, but due to the amount he had to change it, it sounds super glitchy and weird.

I imagine this is about a man reminiscing of his lover who's passed away and the voice going from semi normal to super glitchy is him phasing in and out of the reality he made up that his lover is still alive and dancing with him at the white ball.

I’d like to think this takes place after time machine. My thought process: When Simon was imaging a time machine, he went back in time in his mind remembering everything that made him happy.

honestly, this sounds like it was in between stranded lullaby and dream sweet in sea major, where while simon dreads for seeing his lover,singing the only song he knew she loved.

Personally, I like this version more than the official. It's really unsettling, and fits better in with the story the album's telling. I love the way the woman's voice distorts, especially how it fades out when she and the man are singing together and he's left alone singing the "impossible bliss" line by himself the last few times and eventually gives up because she's not there. And like he's going insane. This version to me feels maybe like a mixture of the man's past and present, like he's going back to the pleasant times when he and she were together, before he gets jolted back to the present time, and the unsettling tones and distortions break into the song. Or maybe like it's foreshadowing the horrible things that are going to happen. (I haven't listened to the full album yet, so I'm not sure when this song takes place in it.) Imo, the official version seems a lot more organized and a bit calmer, which is nice but I just love this version because it's really unsettling. Either way, beautiful work! ❤️✨
