Great job! Watched all the way through, good to see a technician work. I check in every now and then to see the really different style Jobs you post, this one was a cracking insight into the old large French van scene. :) Brilliant, thanks.
Thanks for Jem. Really appreciate the feedback. It definitely was a good one that Renault. Even for me. I like the old school repairs. Even the sound of the engine was awesome. A proper Diesel engine that puffs out smoke. None of that DPF and EGR stuff. Just pure burnt diesel. I better stop otherwise I might get the crack of the whip from the environmentalist. 😁😆
Super job!! The top right stud on the engine had a missing nut anyway. I am pretty sure u had to remove that stud before removing the trans. Otherwise it would have had to slide straight back for a long ways. The clutch bleeding is very nice. It seems you’re clear plastic tube must go into a container of fresh fluid. Also, I think u r there to replace the clutch, not renew every part on the car. That truck is a good old workhorse.
This guy is a machine u dont need to take your car to gargle to be put on ramp .just axle stands strong arms and he knows what he his doing anyone u puts there thumbs down his a hater but maybe thay think thay can do better
Renault's, proper pain in the arse, looks like a challenging job that! I remember i pulled a drive Shaft from it's gear box on a Renault 19, it was a roller pin type one. Wrote the gear box off. :/
Hi and many thanks for your video :) It's very usefull to see the steps and necessary tools. Mine has a leak from the hydraulic release bearing. I would like to convert it to a mechanical system with a cable (as it seems this gearbox exists in the two versions). Do you think it is possible and will be more reliable ?
Hi, Comparing the old disk at 21:40 and the new at 22:45 the new one seems less sturdy (thiner and with lighter structure between interior and exterior zones) As I did the same job with the same LuK kit, I am a little bit worried about his lifespan. Do you know if it is as durable as the origine ?
It’s not about the thickness. But rather the material it consist of. The thicker more carbonated plate holds heat and burns quicker. Any newer clutch will consist more either Kevlar/ ceramic/copper. Remember clutch gets hot. About needs to get rid of heat
@@WMCS Thank you very much for these informations. It reassures me :) As it is a camping car based on Renault Master frame, avoiding clutch overheating is a good point when maneuvering. Good evening !
Hey Kev big thanks for this video I've the same job to do. Can I ask how heavy is the gearbox? I have a 2.0 MK6 Transit or a 2003 Peugeot Boxer gearbox for perspective. The Transit one weren't too bad but the Boxer was so heavy. How does this gearbox stack up for weight?
Buen video
