Problems with this car at high mileage - Cylinder head plug leaking, valve cover gasket leaking, oil pan gasket leaking, timing belt, water pump leaking, front main seal leaking, oil pump, struts and shocks, etc. The moral to the story is, the parts that need to be replace are not worth the trouble and the parts will cost more than the car. If you can do your own wenching, then its not to bad. I use a lot of A1 Auto parts on my car.

Your typical Honda from that generation will go forever if maintained.

@@paulemenike238 yes as long as it was maintained and mostly honda oem parts. Aftermarket parts will fail making your reliable honda a less reliable money pit. - A Honda Tech

I got the 04 LX with some cosmetic problems (minor accident that broke the rear bumper, and some keying on the hood) as well as an airbag light that I'm going to try to see if Honda will fix for free. $2900 with 171,000 miles. Drove home 2 hours straight without any problems.
