Just watched this for entertainment but I did see sumthingz. I have to go back to pt1 and study it. I actually have a book to give me more detail/confidence to replace evething myself. I'm just a cook, I do know a little tire & lube & did manage to replace both slave & master cylinder on my 5speed but this seems like a challengin puzzle that could affect my day(s) if I "time" it wrong😂 Your welcome & thanks again for the video/guide.
Anyone can do it. Just go one step at a time, dont let it intimidate you. And ya, i had to split it into 2 videos, i can be more detailed, and it's not too much all at once. And if you have already tackled the hydralic clutch, you'll have no problem. We try to cover ALL SKILL LEVELS. No one is left out. We have simple oil changes to tearing half a harley apart or custom paint and fabricating! I'm so glad you found us wrench on!
That car had just over 200 kms on it! I'm sorry for the late reply, I just noticed I missed your comment. Thank you for watching and commenting. we really appreciate it, and once again, sorry I didn't answer sooner
Thank you for this video! We are following it step by step but I've come to the point when putting on the new timing belt there is too much slack in it even though the marks are lining up. What can we be doing wrong? The slack is at the top of the belt.
@@axlsnakedoghello and thank you for your response! I'm going to attempt to attach some photos but I don't know if it will work. We tried to tension the water pump. The 2 pulleys are lined up but the bottom smaller pulley is not lining up. Also the notches on the tensioner pulley is not lining up as you instructed . The two points on the tensioner pulley are still apart from each other and not coming together even though the belt is tight. We are at a standstill and really don't know what we are doing wrong. :(
At 7.38 after tightening the water pump the belt shifts the timing marks out of alignment on the crank and on the camshafts. You mention in the video how to line these marks back up but you don't show how to do it, the video just jumps to the part were you tighten the water pump bolts up and the timing marks are already aligned. Am having a real problem trying to get these marks aligned when tensioning the water pump as it always jumps by a tooth or two any tips here???
We try to cover everything, im sorry if i missed something i didnt realise. Make sure you zip tie the cams to the belt and either lock them down with cam lock tool or just clamp them like we did on the drives, if the marks shift a bit no worries as long as they all shift together. Turn back after tightening the pump to check the marks
I hope this helps and thank you for checking out our little show we really appreciate it alot! Also go back and check your old belt marks to the new belt make sure your dead on, and good luck with your repair ! Right on!

They are 10mm, but this is a canadian model, im not sure if they have standard bolts in an american version. Let me know. im interested in finding out! Thank you for the cool comment, and keep me posted on how it turns out! We really appreciate you taking the time to reach out. Thank you!
I had the same issue (American) and I had to Use the "Nut Setter" in 10 mil with an adapter for the Ratchet in order to get the bolts. I Assume it had to do with the sidewall thickness being thiner But thats just a guess. I don't know if there is one fastener that was replace though because it is a 5 mil Allen head. when you are standing facing the engine bay its Halfway down the Cover as close to the Cabin as the fasteners gets. My Belt Snapped so I'm trying to figure out how to time it correctly. I see the index marks on Timing gear Cam Sprockets, but is there one on the Crank gear (I haven't gotten that far yet because I have to do this incognito because I thought it was the cam sensor originally so I had the car towed to my House (I have an HOA and they don't like people working on cars in the driveway))
