Zach driving a purpose built RWD car with 400hp: it's fine, I guess. Zach driving a fwd grocery getter with less than 200hp: this is the greatest thing ever!
C6s are great value, even the autos. The interior is cheap but you're paying for the engine and chassis. Corvettes are a sports car that can be daily driven.
Not mentioned about the car... The community. It is so cool to be part of a car club, like Jeeps or Mustangs or H-D bikes, and these cars come with that sort of community.
thats like saying supras arent special. those were mass produced too. its an entry tier sports car and thats alright. you still get a lot of value for your money and any base corvette would smoke a challenger and mustang.
Agreed. But RU-vid changed their ways and now when you preview a video, it shows the first 10 seconds or so. So every video of mine looked identical and I didn't want to turn people away.
It amazes me how GM was able to make a 4 speed automatic transmission work in a car with 400hp...just like how Mercedes-Benz made a 5 speed automatic transmission work with a 600+hp V12.
Corvette shifters have been stiff and unfriendly, huh? What are you talking about? The manual transmission in my Grand Sport shifts like a dream I would never even consider an automatic transmission Corvette with the exception of the C8. That’s a dual clutch automatic and a completely different animal.
The average person will never be in a car this fast. You’re getting spoiled off your calling this a cruiser. You basically liked for things to complain about. Poor effort on this one.
Well, here you can clearly see the reason of Acura NSX being so popular in the 90's and 00's. Just imagine: this car was produced in 2005 and still couldn't be as fun and as practical as 90's Honda.
@runoflife87 I know. So what. Make the two cars as comparable as possible, and then pretend the NSX is amazing. I'm not arguing that the Corvette is better, but it's hard to ignore that you're putting the best version of the NSX against the lowest version of the Corvette.
The corvette should go back to it's roots. make it an affordable roadster - front wheel drive, 4 cylinder, manual transmission. Focus on fun and affordable, like the Miata.
