I bought one for $4k cash about 6 months ago when I was getting out of debt, went from a 2020 Wrangler to this. I just wanted a 4x4 SUV for cheap and no car payment. Suprisingly I have actually LOVED it haha. It has only had one issue that took me a saturday afternoon to replace (radiator) and that is it. I have put 9k miles on it, even took it camping/off roading twice on Colorado trails and it did really well. I do not plan on getting rid of it, especially with how expensive cars are getting.
I’m looking into buying a 2005 for 4K cash. For school and work. It has 126k miles on it and looks really good condition. U think it would be a good first car?
Southern Nevada trails can be tough. Lots of loose shale and loads of bumps. Especially now that all the side by side guys fly up and down them displacing all the dirt, leaving just the rocks behind. Lol there are roads that 20 years ago you could literally drive a Camry/Sentra up now you need 4x4 and even then a little savvy and know how to get up them. That turned into a bit of a rant… sorry. Lol
I bought one 2005 Jeep liberty 4x4, lifted with customize wheels and 265 70 16 tires. It was the perfect Jeep for me to go camping, around town and such. I really love the handling. It is what it is, it's a Jeep. Go places. Mpg is not too bad, over all, I love it very much.
Family got a 07 rwd model back in 2009, to this day I still use it as my daily driver... it only had 2 major breakdowns so far even if I barely did maintenance, it's a gas guzzler but I love it
It definitely was standard in all of my Chrysler products I’ve owned. I never had an engine light on my current car except for one weekend when the thermostat was going out. Replaced it and flushed the coolant, never had one again
HAVE you still got the liberty? cherokee in my country lol. can you do a video showing rear and front lights with turn signals and hazard warnings with and without side lights and brakes. i'm just curious what the differences will be between yours and mine. get it end of week. i'm gonna get a couple little modules and convert front indicators (turn signals/blinkers) to always on and brighter flash for turn like american spec and get side markers if not illuminated lol
I would love to say yes but I sold it over a year ago so unfortunately I can’t do that.. but I’m sure there are videos you can search from US/Canadian RU-vidrs that has a liberty to see the full differences
@@Specmauto ok, i have found a wiring rig on ebay that will do what i want. may have to buy the side marker reflectors for the front. had a look earlier and i don't think they're bulbed units. so ebay gizmo puts uk indicators on all time ignition is on, then dims them to 40% when actual lights are on and flashes at 100% at all times. so neat bit of wiring, think its just a resistor and something else that break the power to turn signal through the resistor and hard wire a live to sidelights to dim them out when lights on. anyway will give the us spec appearance on a uk model.
I guess it did because after I sold it to my nephew the engine eventually blew up and had no oil, I don’t understand how that happened honestly because it was full of oil when I had it
Hello all; just came across this video while doing “research”. What tires do you all recommend for a 2005 JLS? Where did you all get them from? All the locations in my area claim to not have any to fit my vehicle, so I’ve been looking for a while. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!
I'm sure you've bought tires by now. I have a 05 JLS 4X4. Smeone asked about tired in the Jeep Liberty KJ faceb00k Group. Here's a list of tires that were recommended. Tires size: 225/75R16 or 235/70/16 Cooper Destination AT3 Firestone Destination A/T Firestone Destination A/T2 Toyota AT Kenda Klever AT2 BF Goodrich All Terrain
@@fauxmixedhair Thanks. I know the sizes needed but places claim not to have them in stock; suggested ordering them online but I don’t trust buying anything online.
@@Specmauto I went looked at one earlier today bad antifreeze smell coming from heater vents an smelled like something burning in it I said no thank you lol
