You didn't even blow any smoke! Finally, another Cummins owner that isn't a straight-up hillbilly. GREAT looking/sounding truck. You put everything together really well, I like the rims!
Thanks. I appreciate that! The 6.7s run good but, I just like the 5.9s a little better myself too. I tried to build a truck that was nice and clean without a bunch of other stuff all over it. Thats always been my style.
Awesome sound . Beautiful truck I've been wanting to get a Cummins For a while. I'm on my second Dodge Ram the first was i think the 4.7 v6 L , now the 5.7 L v8 the 6.7 L Would be amazing. Thanks for the walk around.
@TheFullback44 Thanks! There are a few different companies making drop spindles and leveling kits that I would trust. I am using a ReadyLift leveling kit in mine. As far as lowering components, I use Belltech.
No spare. The stock spare is useless with the 36" tall 22.5" tires and there is no room to mount this size tire under the truck either. As far as the truck being slower, I honestly can't remember. I have had the 22.5s on the truck so long that I just don't remember. I have done a few mods since then too. But, it would have to make a difference just because the rotational mass of the 22.5s is quite a bit more than stock. It just takes a little more to get them rolling. Thanks!
@advochamp LOL! Thanks, man! I really appreciate the comments. I don't care for all the smoke that most young guys like. I hate having to clean it off my fender. I made sure that it was going to burn clean and still run strong.
your truck is great! im not a fan of huge rims but yours really work with the truck! im getting my 5.9 mega cab pretty soon. do you know if any compamy makes decent drop shackles or leveling kits? ?
I like where you put the compressor and horn, what about the spare tire? Im sure those tires last forever. Last question, did you notice the truck slower when you went with the bigger wheels? Thanks man!
I appreciate the comment especially from so far away! I haven't had any problems with this setup. Recently just made a few changes. I will try to do a new video when the weather warms up.
MUCH LIKE YOUR TRUCK, HERE I AM FROM BRAZIL AND I HAVE A 2009, wanted VERY DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU HERE AGAIN BUT DOES NOT HAVE MANY FEATURES AND HOW HAS IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE. CONGRATULATIONS BY TRUCK. A QUESTION, YOU HAD PROBLEMS WITH BAR direction.
***** thanks for replying to my question, I looked in to the tires you mention and couldn't find any in 225 70 22.5 but I did find 255 70 22.5, there's a local semi tire shop , I'll go check what they have.
It's still ready, but I'm also still enjoying it. You should come look at it sometime cause its a great truck if its something like you are looking for.
