It rains inside when you go above a certain speed, haven't you noticed? It's a faulty internal condensation adjuster system. Have a verified mechanic look at it.

I have a 2014 , bought it with 56 k miles, started acting up at 120k miles. I always keep it on the service schedule and all of a sudden the mechanic comes to me with a big list of issues. Have you had any problems with you 2016? I had Acura on the very high standard but after this vehicle not any more. 🙁

Have a 2007 with just shy of 300,000 miles and we still love driving it! Bought it in 2012 with 160,000 miles but in excellent shape. Longest I have ever owned a vehicle and plan on keeping it till it won't go anymore. Replaced the timing belt twice over the years, the alternator, front struts, but mostly changed oil, brakes and tires. Fantastic for hauling people and cargo. Handles awesome. Poor mileage in the city - 14-15, but up to 20 on the highway.

I own a 2009 with the Tech/Ent pkg with a very low 129,800 miles. Bought the vehicle from the Porsche dealership in Jacksonville FL on 1/2021 with 113k miles. Found it on Car Gurus, one owner, great condition inside out along with excellent maintenance history records all done at the dealership. Love my MDX! Rides great, handles well, driving dynamics so much better than most new vehicles on the road. No creaks or rattles. Overall a very solid ride. Yes, I have come across some minor wear/tear items but addressed those due to the age. I plan on keeping this for a very long haul.

We own a 2008 with 130K miles. It has been incredible. Had some minor issues with a sunroof leak but nothing else. Comfortable, roomy for 5. Tight for the way back seats. About 20MPG in city 26 Highway. I drove it, handed it down to my wife, and handed it down to our son after college. I'm sure it will go to 200K miles with regular maintenance.

I drive a 2007 MDX, and it is a very stable, reliable, comfortable and safe car. The only issue is the fuel consumption (Canadian units: rated 10.0 L/100km hwy, 13.8 L/100km city, but in reality it is more like ~ 10.5L hwy and 16.5L city) And it is premium fuel only (91 octane). Yes, some people use regular (87 octane), but it is a high compression engine, and there is some risk of damage.

I bought an 07 mdx in 2018. Had like 80k and had records from bay area. Been 95% great until today at 140k. Still drives nice. Remove your Bluetooth module behind your console if you own one, they will eventually drain your battery.

I live in the mountains, and as far as snow performance I can push snow with it's ugly pointed bumper until I feel like stopping. The clutch packs on the SH AWD are underrated.

This happened to me as well. I have an 09 tech pkg that I bought in 2015 w/ 70k miles on it. I would come out to the car and the battery would be dead. Somehow I figured out the Bluetooth kept searching for my phone to pair with it and I believe that’s how it got drained. Found a RU-vid video on how to remove the module. Fyi it’s located in the center console behind the rear A/C vents or just below them. I figured this out the first year I had the car.

I own a 2011 MDX base with SH-AWD with 120k miles. My car has been reliable up until now, the car developed a leak on the right passanger side roof rail, radio, bluetooth phone connectivity and CD have stopped working. But i test drove a 2023 last year as i was considering trading up. Sadly, the 2023 felt underpowered with the 3.5L engine and while it was a A-spec, the seats and interior did not feel luxurious at all. Engine acceleration felt lackluster and handling was not existent. So i end up keeping my car. I am now looking to test drive a RDX, maybe that will be a better experience.

In Nov 2013 I bought a used certified 2013 MDX SH-AWD Base. I got a crazy deal because it was a demo and it was burgandy. That car was great. Sporty, a beast in the snow, and comfortable. In 2016 I traded it in for a new 2016 SHAWD Tech package. That car sucked and broke my heart. Nothing like the 07-13. I sold the 2016 for the low and lost my shirt. The old ones are the most balanced.

Has anyone ever ran regular gas in there MDX and if so, did it home the engine at all?
@guygordon2780
@guygordon2780 5 месяцев назад
No need for Premium gas. I use 18 gal of Regular plus 2 gal of E85 (up to 85% ethanol). This mix gives you an 99 Octane. Ethanol has less energy content than gasoline, but burns more smoothly, thus raising the Octane value. It also costs less than Regular. But you don't want to use more E85 than that ratio as it will lower your miles per gallon.

Just bought a 2010 about a month ago. Haven't noticed the oil consumption issue. Is there a way to know if it was fixed?
@mrgold3591
@mrgold3591 3 месяца назад
I had a 11 MDX Adv and sold it at 153,000 miles back in 2023. The oil consumption was limited to 1.5 qts per 9000 mile oil change interval (always used full syn Mobil 1). The oil consumption was caused by gummed up oil rings in the cylinders and the fix was to replace the cylinders and rings. The oil consumption could be as bad as 1 qt per 1000 miles. The MDX needs to be 100% level to get an accurate oil level reading. I would check the oil level every 1000 miles to get a feel for the oil consumption. Acura did offer an extended warranty to fix the oil consumption issue a few years ago (it should have expired already). Any Acura dealership should have a record of the fix. Another option is create a login for the Acura Owners site and it should give you a list of all services done at Acura.
