I blew my 2005 rl engine like a fucking idiot for 2 reason my radiator was leaking & the head gaskets needed to be replaced, so water got into the engine, I only had 130.000, any how I wanted to fix my car so I found this baby ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rae1TA-IvkQ.html not the whole car just the engine for 1000.00 so I bought it with only 71.000 I was able to check out the maintenance records online & this person kept the car in perfect health so we'll see after it's installed, the dude just wrecked in October only 7000 per year & the nice thing is the video shows the odometer & the engine running can't beat that.
@@Travelingcarguy1 huh oh that's sad they should have kepted that feature in debating getting an 06 rl or 08 tl just don't want no transmission issues I heard about on them
@@dontedq Yeah that was a good feature. The 5 speed automatic transmission in the RL and the TL are completely different versions. The transmission in the RL is robust and can last a long time, my 2007 RL(in this video) has 280k miles on it with no problems at all. The RL transmission are assembled in Japan like the whole car. TL had transmission problems in the 04 and 05 model years and that transmission is weaker builtm
@@dontedq If you are looking at the 2nd generation(2005-2012) let me tell you that they are very reliable. The first model year 2005 and 2006 had more issues compared to the rest of the years of the RL. You should look at 2007 and up just to be safe. You should look for ones that are taken care of very well in terms of maintenance. I own mine since 2014 and its still rock solid, I have driven half of the country and it never disappointed me.
