The RL isn't based on the Legend, it *is* the Legend with Acura logos. The Legend itself is just the JDM version of the RL. The Acura RL/JDM Honda Legend are based on the US market Honda Accord/JDM Honda Inspire to which the US market Acura TL is closely related. The US market Acura TSX is the Euro/JDM Honda Accord with Acura badges on it. It's all an interbred web here. Not that it mattes much, although related they share fairly few parts.
I own 2010 RL and it has 2 chambers(for fluids) in the rear differential. I then looked at the same year MDX and it seemed to have only one chamber, possibly omitting acceleration device.
I believe this is torque vectoring AWD, Audi has it only on the sports diff so well done Acura for that but God this car's beak is ugly and the back is just plain boring. Throw the internals in an A7 and you may have the most reliable best looking car in the world.
Why would you compare an Acura with a Volvo or a Lincoln? Volvo is a shit car and so is the Lincoln! I don't care what those 2 cars have that Acura doesn't, that shit will not matter when you're broken down on the side of the road or when those pieces of garbage are falling apart all by themselves! 🤣 🤣 🤣
