The noise you har at entry is because of HVAC inside/outside door actuator broken gear. The actuator reset itself to open position everytime u turn the key on. Remove the Cabin filter and u can see.
Could you give me advice? I am looking to buy a used vehicle for $5K or under. I want something reliable that can be driven to a very high mileage, and is comfortable inside. Ive been recommended 1994 Buick Roadmaster, 2000s Crown Victoria, or 04 Lincoln Towncar. What do you think? Any other suggestions of big 4 door sedans with V8s that are reliable?
Awesome man, I own a 2004 Lincoln Town Car and I'd have to say that it's probably the most reliable and maintenance free car I've ever owned. It has about 271k miles right now, original motor and trans. With regular oil changes they will last forever. If I were you I would look at getting a 2011 town car as the do not have the rear air suspension. Another good buy wild be a 2011 mercury grand marquis. The roadmaster would be a great choice if you could find a nice one but the down side to that is it will cost you. I hope that helps
was thinking of getting a chevy cobalt one of these cars but not sure on the reliability as the miles build up right now i have a 98 chevy prizm 5 speed with 286000 miles engine is ok no work so far needed on the stick just struts and fan belt new head liner new winshield and brake work have ben done so what are your thoughts should i get one .
Dont use cruise control never did ,But i tryed it on my mothers car back in the day when she had her 77 buick electra big boat of a car but really nice ride.But other wise nice to see you can do your own work on your car me i have to bring mine to a shop to have anything done because i live in a mobilehome park and they have rules about that so what brand of shocks were those all around?so yes i did buy a chevy cobalt 2006 LS ,when i got it it road ok but after having new shocks and springs in the rear only and new tires,THERE GOOD YEAR TIRES the car rides rough thinking could be tires on the fronts only ya i bought the car a few days ago other wise has good pickup.
