This LMST is actually very well mechanically built. I remember when new car was less than RM30k, good price for such size! Climb Genting no problem, long distance also fine, handling acceptable. Only downside is the interior material is super let down for me. (safety feature cannot compare today's standard). I agree also the connection feel of man and machine compare modern cars. Good review. And respect Donald, very understand his own car and he know what he is doing.
My father gave me this as my first car (rarely used because the original exhaust quite loud for him). I still use it as weekend car depending on my mood and as model to learn how to repair the car generally. The bonus part is the mileage for my LMST right now currently below 100k km. 5 years parking outside our house before I got my 1st license. No modification at all except for gear knob which is already worn out. Overall still love it even though the FC quite high hahahaha.
Wha that’s the real you no see ppl no up. As long is a running well car you sure go for POV. Not all ppl can buy atas conti car. Thanks for this review
Bought 1 recently for temporary use, while waiting flood car to be fixed. Very mechanical, accessories damn cheap, thought the cassette player broken, works after changing the fuse, use Bluetooth transmitter then connect to phone for Spotify. And yes, the door locking memang lock like that! Looking for nice rims to fit, maybe Gen 2 Rims. 🤣
I have a 2004 Proton Saga LMST as my first car which handed to me by my late uncle. Compared to Donald's car, it is quite beat up and the paint has already faded haha. But watching this video has made want to spend a bit of money to fix the car's issues haha.
I have this car, it was good car to drive, handling was good and light, but fuel consumption is quite bad (compared to axia lol) so I haven't drove it quite a while now..
4g15 with waja stroker kit and u got 80+hp really? that feels like a bit low ..my lil bro have a wira 1.5 same internal spec and on carb too..we dynoed test it once..it put out 105 on the wheels 🤔 but anyway ur ride is so sweet 👌🏼 lovin it..these lmst needs more love
Donald...if I get a chance to find a good sample Saga LMST.....can I ask for your help and expertise to mod my Saga like yours. For body roll you can afix Ultra Racing strut bars
i own this car, the water temp gauge mostly go high to 100c.. few times check with mechanic, and mechanic check temp is ok no overheating.. later i bought a radiator cap with temp meter, every time i see gauge go full bar, i straight away stop on side of the road to check radiator cap temp, is only 80-90c (normal range)..turns out is Digital gauge misreading, which common issue for LMST
